Can you help me out? I notice a wobble during hovering and cruising, motors are tight, props are tight, FC is secured enough to limit vibrations. The FC is a Kakute F7 HDV, are certain FC better for x class drones? Like a BrainFPV Radix?
@divingfalconfpv46023 жыл бұрын
Haven't been able to tune it out.. add P & I.. Bigger drones are harder to tune. I've had issues but mine isn't a great build
@srqTagle3 жыл бұрын
@@divingfalconfpv4602 Yeah, it’s better. J-True at UAV Tech had some good stuff on PID and it’s relation to each other and it’s relation to the size of the drone. The default PID are made for a 5 inch 6s quad, so anything on the extremes whoops and Macro quads need adjustments. He recommends tuning in the order of D P I, some might think PID since that is the order we are used to seeing. So from the defaults, raise D first and think of the D as Dampening rather than Determ, then raise P and I in a 1:1 ratio. Think P as Pushing rather than Proportion. Also I term is usually what causes the wobble in bigger drones, if I term is too high relative to the P. So I’ll get it locked in soon.
@divingfalconfpv46023 жыл бұрын
@@srqTagle yea I lowered my I term then been slowly raising D to find limit. UAV tech preset the d was too high and I got runaway. So now raising it slowly. I did raise my P and I a little to try stop the slow low throttle wobble while Im tuning lol I took a drone not meant to be a 8" and made it a 8" lmao 🤣 PS yea I'm doing D first then I'll do P.

I've just come back to rc after a break for some years and I'm amazed to see how these quads are considered so unusual. A quad with with 13 inch props was not at all unusual back in the day, I have a Tarot Hex, sat folded on a shelf for 8 years, that I have just converted to a quad for endurance. Carbon arms, carbon plates, 560 kv motors, all I am doing is upgrading the APM FC to a Matek F722 and trading the individual ESCs for a 4 in 1 and it's as up to date as any 'modern' X class. Maybe not competitive in comps, would need a motor change for that, but not even close to $1600. Pick up a Tarot on ebay for less than $200, upgrade for another $400.
@DroneSupremacy3 жыл бұрын
Oh no, It's just unusual for me, I know they've been around for many years but I just started FPV around a year ago so I hadn't seen one before.
