Almost flew over my old house. I spent a LOT of time up in the old control tower as a kid back in the 70's. The ATC guys would buzz us up and let us sit and watch them work. I met John Denver at that FBO's old cafe in 1978 as he'd fly up and do touch and go's in his Lear jet and then have lunch while getting fuel...A LOT of memories!

I am a virtual pilot of a 737 and sometimes I fly so early at like 5:30-6:00 at the earliest and I fly to Midway a lot from Oakland and it's facing east towards the sunrise and when I fly over the mountains with the sunrise. It is so beautiful!

Yep, first and foremost, a camera pointed at the displays is very popular and we like to see. Nice audio and nice flight overall. The SR22T is an amazing aircraft.

Great video! It’s Always neat to see what it’s like to capture IFR in the air and in a non jet aircraft. And seeing that rare rain in the Scottsdale area. I lived briefly on Camelback Rd while working for Mesa getting my experience as a dispatcher. Now I’m with a major. Glad we are both working at some capacity :)

Love it man! Great video. You came near my area in Athens when you came to Knoxville. I'm 16 and just soloed in December on my birthday and currently working on my instrument, night, and cross-country hours. My neighbor who is a Southwest airlines FO is instructing me in his 1959 172, and I'm eventually hoping I can fly for Southwest in the future. Really fun! Really loved this! One HUGE takeaway for me was at ~19:06 when you descended out of the IMC with the snow covered ground below. Honestly, that kinda fooled me! Had I been looking at the IAP, I think I would have been in better shape so lesson learned! Your daughter’s comment about the snow on the ground in Cheyenne was priceless: “...this ain’t nothing! This is just a prequel!” Awesome stuff!

Very nice video Ern, I could’ve watched the entire 2 hour flight. You seem so much more relaxed in G. A. Mode and the real enjoyment of flying pierces your skies. It’s probably because your SW job won’t allow certain things although those flights are enjoyable also. Keep the G. A. coming, I enjoy the radio traffic, lil more instrumentation via the cameras if you can and until then enjoy clear blue VFR skies. Ashley is cool 👍🏾

Flew to Scottsdale many times for lunch. Now working on an SR20 G6/Perspective+ checkout at KRNT. My son graduated from WMU flying SR20s. He's now instructing in 22Ts in the D.C. area. Hey great video man especially since it is your first cockpit video in the Green Hornet. One thing I think you should do once you get really good and familiar with this new camera set up in the plane is a video on your camera systems and how you connect the mic audio to the video. Excellent video. Congrats on the two camera editing 👍👍. I wouldn't worry too much about an extra camera solely for the instruments right now. Getting some B roll of the instruments, like you did with a hand held camera, or your phone is good enough. Some other B roll shots of the plane etc would be cool. Future video gear upgrades could include a 360 camera on the wing or somewhere else, like Stefan Drury, here in Aus, uses on his Cirrus. I think one of the cool things about doing KZbin videos, is determining what your style is and then refining it. I'm still doing that all the time 👍.
