Nice flight and when you always fly in the left seat it is a diference when your in the right. Not bad at all.

Been hanging out for this one Stef, thank you, Aussie Pilot, N Reg Piper in Singapore 😃 wish I looked the aero club up when I was there. Did you have time to checkout Marina Bay pool deck and do a travel blog?

Haha, very cool. That warrior's been around the great circle more than once. Thanks for the video Stef.

Thanks Dan, it was owned by one of the members at the club. I wasn’t sure on its history but it felt like an older model.

Great way to spend some time in another country , go flying. The views were very nice and though you haven't flown a Warrior for a while the landing was great. Yes i guess the old analogue 6 pack can seem a bit strange now that you are used to flying glass. Very friendly instructor, thoroughly enjoyed this one, Thank you Stef.

I flew from Seletar on a tour to Tioman island along with my wife . Seletar is a military strip . I flew onboard a Dornier similar to the one you flew with from Cebu to that island resort.

Wonderful video, Stefan! I've been to Singapore (Changi) quite a bit, but never to Seletar. Thanks heaps for posting - very cool indeed.

Thanks Cameron, I'd never heard of Seletar Airport before this flight to be honest. I just googled local flying schools in Singapore and wrote to a couple of places. These guys wrote back and we managed to set something up. Was a really fun experience, hopefully something you can try in the future too.

Yep, there's a lot of history at that airport.. Fall of Singapore and all that. It's now on my bucket list, thanks to you :-) I got a laugh out of the Dymo labels peeling off the dash. That is so Singapore (hot & humid!!).

That flare even frightened the instructor! "GOING AROUND. GOING AROUND"!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@StefanDrury6 жыл бұрын
I was smiling looking back at the footage and seeing his hand hovering closer to the throttle. It was a very long runway though, so if we’d have continued much longer before touching a squirt of power could have sorted it out. In the end we touched down fairly smoothly though, just took a while to get the wheels to touch!

again a really nice flying video! Thumbs up :) How long does it take to cut a day full of experiences like this one?
@StefanDrury6 жыл бұрын
Thanks TangoPapa. These edits are getting longer and longer to be honest. But for a video like this I’d say it’s around 6-9 hours editing all up. That’s sourcing audio, editing, upload and writing descriptions etc.

Great idea when on vacation... I should have done that ... ps: I have a general question about flying in Australia {in 6 months) what would be the best method to ask you a question ? It involves a commercial company so I don't necessarily want to make it public ? Thanks !

Hey Stef, update on flight school I’m about to do my pre-solo exam and do my first solo. Do you have any tips for me in regards to studying and getting in the plane. Thanks I hope to see you some day
@StefanDrury6 жыл бұрын
Hey Nikolas, congratulations on getting to this stage. Remember, if your instructor thinks you're ready to go solo then you've already learned all you need to know. For your exam, practise tests are a great way to get into the groove before your actual exam, I'd suggest doing a few of these at least before the actual exam day. But on the day before get a good night's sleep and (I know this is easy to say) try and relax as much as you can. Don't rush the exam on the day, you have way more time than you think you need. But most of all, trust yourself as you wouldn't be here if you weren't ready. Good luck, I'm sure you'll smash it! Stef

No worries Stefan! I've been going back through and watching all your videos, inspirational stuff! Makes me want to get down to the airport and hire out a C172! A Cirrus is definitely on the bucket list though. Make sure you post if you are ever planning a trip to the Gold Coast or Brisbane, would love to catch up and say g'day.

Sooo many reminders for landing checklist!!! tsk tsk someone must have kept forgetting their bumfish checks! strange it was N reg not a 9V reg too
@StefanDrury6 жыл бұрын
Behind every sign there’s a story... Yes the plane was owned by one of the club’s members but not sure why it was a US registered aircraft. Possibly only been in Singapore a short while, or might just be used for international flying so they kept the N registration after buying from the US perhaps?

Can we do meet up
@CaptainG10015 жыл бұрын
Is actually illegal to let someone who has not joined the club and does not hold a CAAS PPL in Singapore to take controls Just saying Like Singapore flying club was so anal about This unlike Seletar flying club they are still the best
@bradwell17496 жыл бұрын
Why was it N rego. not 9v? Was it a tax dodge?????????
@StefanDrury6 жыл бұрын
Unsure as to the tax implications but I know it was owned by one of the members of the flying club. The C172 that we were supposed to fly (9VBOQ) was in maintenance that day.

brad well bro u can fly N or 9V for air experience flights in Sg
