Right, that was my reaction too. Just ask male versus female gymnasts- their sports are very different because one values strength and the other values flexibility. Just adding weights to the flexi guy doesn't replicate the conditions that the bodybuilder was working with.

no. This whole thing is stupid and is on the level of showing off to person without legs how fast you can run.... People with big muscles are close to unable to move their arms behind their back. And even if he does it his arms are much lower so the whole thing becomes much harder as his whole body starts to bend making grip holding way more difficult. What is more this "exercise" is rly easy for anyone who actually lacks muscles and is fairly young, like every kid could do it. So for me it is more of an asshole move then being impresive.

@@huh5912No duh. The point is that most bodybuilders aren’t flexible in any area, so if this guy can do the splits he’s likely flexible throughout his entire body; even if the splits uses your lower half entirely.
@someonerandom1712
@someonerandom1712 Ай бұрын
@@rooknadoThat doesn’t make sense at all. Most bodybuilders CAN be flexible in their legs but physically are incapable of making their shoulders flexible at all. They train their arms for more muscle and the more muscle, the less flexibility. If a bodybuilder we’re to try to gain flexibility in their shoulders, they would have lose quite a bit of muscle mass. So no, not “duh” since you obviously don’t understand the difference between legs/hip flexibility and shoulder flexibility.

I mean I was 12/13 on beighton score XD. which diagnoses your hypermobility/EDS.. Only reason I didn't get 13 was due to my issues bending down at that point, due to back. It's also really smart because it avoids any potential rubbing or muffling noises from clothing and also avoids attenuating vocal frequencies in any way because the mic direction AND distance from the mouth don't change based on where your head is pointing.

It does seem like his muscles (or perhaps even muscles in general) are limiting him from moving his arms back so far! But what I have learnt from you is that with practice he’ll be able to stretch like that as well as have the muscle! It’s so cool that you can literally see how your education has changed people’s thinking!!

I bet 90% of people cant reach behind more than he did in the video unless you have some hypermobility issue. Shoulders should be as stable as possible, having hypermobile shoulders just means you'll deal with rotator cuff or labrum tears and eventually arthritis down the road.
