This has been one of my favorite GR videos in a long time, not as much goofing off or jokes, just straight concise information, a form of practicing that anyone can do, with information that the instructor is knowledgeable, and doesn't have to wonder about or miss questions without giving a satisfactory answer. Thank you so much for this

@@cover_now3425 It would be great if you did a lesson on IFR flying. I'd love to hear you go over it with a student, including things like how to stay focus and advise on how to look at each instrument one after another, etc
@cover_now34254 жыл бұрын
@@Epicburst Sure, can do something like that. Teach the basic steps for IFR Flying...Scan, Cross Check, Interpretation. and Control. Ill add it to the list, thanks for the suggestion

@@cover_now3425 Your style of videos is incredible, and I'm looking forward to what comes next. Keep up the amazing work, this is exactly the type of discussion format people need. If it helps, maybe you can describe what kind of exercise you're doing, and how to set it up? Intercepting ILS, tacan to tanker, CCIP bombing targets, flat spin recovery, whatever it is you're doing, the best part of this video is that it's practice everyone can do, staying with that would be amazing. With how you break everything down, answer concisely, show how it's done, then repeat a few times, it really is a tried and true method. You're doing a great job

I enjoy these vids, brings a good bit of balance to gr, and gives it some really legitimate content, much like the interviews. For those that say they want Cap, well he's hardly going anywhere, just wait for the next one.

"With the blast shield down i can't even see. how am i supposed to fight" "Your eyes can deceive you, don't trust them" Cool video and great training specially for flying through clouds and definitely at night when instruments get super important

+GrimReapersAtomic *Unusual attitudes are part of two Basic Fighter Manoeuvres: the Pitchback (steep climbing turn), and the Sliceback (steep diving turn).* Aerobatic aircraft are stressed for these manoeuvres, but not normal or utility aircraft.

Watching these makes me feel like I'm going through my Private Pilot License flying again, lol! Great videos...these are literally real-world lessons as well. Instructors will make you close your eyes, shake your head while they put the aircraft in an awkward position. You then have to look up and regain control.

Wait... Was the guy actually training his senses to perceive the attitude of the aircraft and re-level it with his eyes closed? How was that done if a simulator can't emulate the motion of your body in the cockpit? Unless you're in a full motion cockpit... Was this the case?
@Stand_Tall4 жыл бұрын
instruments only i guess
@cover_now34254 жыл бұрын
Absolutely the opposite...:you NEVER use your sense to correct the plane like that. The whole point of this training is to ignore those sense, and rely on quick glances of the instruments/ the world around you if your vmc to quickly correct the plane.

If you try to listen to your body, especially in the absence of visual cues, you will 100% end up a smoking hole in the ground. :) spatial disorientation is a thing, so realistically what i was attempting was to disorient him different ways, and coach him through technically correct recoveries

Guys fw190 has just slighlty lower wing loading you can check it on the internet if you like. i think you are confusing wing loading with static stability margin ww2 aircraft require a high pilot workload and are not all that stable but a trainer like l39 is stable. You give little input to a ww2 aircraft and the output is more compared to l39 that explains why it stalls easier.

@@cover_now3425 I'm sorry I was wrong to say what I said. It was a knee-jerk reaction. I watched it again and I think the video is good and very informative and I gave it a like 👍. @@lukewalker3905 You can absolute disagree with me 👍 But the problem with your comment is it comes off as if you're implying that there is something wrong with me for liking Cap's videos and finding him funny and that I should explain this to you somehow . Just a reminder, this is Cap's channel. If you look at the hundreds of videos he has the LIKES to DISLIKE ratio is not even close. Most people that come here likes his videos and find him funny. The real question is why are you coming to his channel and watching his videos if you do not find him funny and don't like his videos. If your comment is sincerely just an interest or curiosity on why I find Cap and RC funny, then that would be different. Then excuse this long winded reply. But it sure does not come off that way.
