My neighborhood is a ghost town. I’m in the Bronx and only see grocery stores open. I’ve stayed within a few blocks of my home only leaving for essentials. This is day 17 for me and I’ve been home alone. True the numbers are inaccurate for several reasons but the numbers that they do have are staggering. A lot of people weren’t taking it seriously initially I believe. That’s why the numbers are as they are. I’m so happy you made it safely to your destination

Hi Candice! I definitely agree people weren't taking it seriously at first - bars and restaurants were still filling up in Brooklyn until they finally closed them down. 17 days is a loooong time, but I hope you are doing well. And thank you; I'm grateful I got back safely as well! I'm just going to take it day by day and hope I don't see any symptoms. So far so good, but I will keep you all posted!

There are definitely still people in NYC not taking things seriously. I live in the Bronx. It boggles my mind how many ppl are outside in groups socializing etc.

Knotted By Nature that’s how I felt being in Brooklyn. Everywhere I walked I saw groups of people laughing and joking around together

In the state of Virginia we are “lock down” until June 10. I wish the other states would do the same. Glad you made it home safely!

Same. I honestly think most states will end up following suit (even though the governor in Florida seems to really want to drag his feet with things). I'm shocked there hasn't been a similar announcement in New York, but honestly I think at this point they know a lot of people are struggling to juggle childcare with work and now home schooling, so they don't want to overwhelm people with the truth that this is going to take months to resolve. If the UK is locked down until at least June, my guess is New York will be locked down until August/September. Stay safe!

Even with gloves on,if they don't change them constantly between things or ppl they touch,they can cross contaminate. Therefore,the best thing is to wash hands with soap and water and use sanitizer and disinfectant sprays. Glad you're #safeandsound 😎

I found it hard to remember to stay 6 feet apart- at first if I'm honest.. its strange how flights from New York to London and around the world are still operating.. ● Bit obvious that's how lockdown would be undermined.. ● If someone had the virus sat next or near you..thats the 6 feet rule is broken .. ● People get on the tube to central London.. the advice is dont use public transport. But who can afford a taxi home from London heathrow to say Leeds? ● When on the tube ..an infected person would cough all over key workers . ● The Hotel policy is interesting.. if you weren't staying with your mum imagine trying to find a hotel.. ● Every airport I have been through in Asia recently -they check at least your temperature. Very interesting video..
