the size of the beast can be measured using the size of helpers, which i call those little robots that turn on leds. using the real size of an led, we can measure a helper (1 H) to about 1.25 cm tall. the robot at the beginning that goes on a cannabilistic rampage is about 5.5 H in size. the robot that produces helpers (which i will call birthing machines) is about 2.75 H. an led tree (which are those technological trees with leds as leafs) is 5.75 H. saw bots (which are those robots that cut branches off led trees) is also 5.75 H. houses (which are those connected houses ) are 8.5 H in size. the beast (when he starts eating houses) is 12.25 H in size. i have 0 ways of measuring past this point bc it zooms in so thats it for now.

When the full beast is walking, we can see it at its full height. If you take the front of the beast and move it to fit the cocooned version, we can see what it’s like. Since there is also an LED and a helper, we can find the true height.

the sawmill robot. the hero we didnt notice. at 1:02 he didnt run away and instead tried to fight the other robot while his friends got out safe. sooner after this scene we see at 1:16 one of the eyes doesnt look like the other eye this is because its the body and head of the sawmill robot.Also in the back of the robot we see a saw trying to i assume attack the robot meaning the sawmill robot still has sentience and is trying to fight back. what a guy.

What I mean: see this saw bot at 0:55? When the monster comes, the saw bot tries to defend the smaller bots but gets absorbed anyway. But at 1:15 if you look closely enough. One of the parts that used to be the saw bot seems to be still conciouse. If you look closely. You can see one of the saw parts seemingly trying to cut away the other parts of the monster. Proving this, and you can even see one of the mouth saws trying to cut away the tentecals. Even at 1:34 the saw eye is still frantically looking around trying to find a way to be freed. 2:26 it’s even possible that the butter-bot might even be the saw bot.

alright, story time: some little robots activate flower thingys. and some collectors *collect them* . one collector swallows a robot trying to figure out why the flower wont turn on. after discovering the great power by eating other robots, the collector goes haywire. a small robot producer gets eaten by the very same collector, now having eaten a lot more small robots. cut (or slide) to the robot woods, where a lumberjack robot saws branches off of a tree for the small robots to carry. Collector crashes in, and begins eating a tree, scaring the small robots. the lumberjack tries their best to defend himself, but its too late. another slide leads us to a "neighborhood", where the houses are dancing. the power line connecting the houses gets more and more tugged on, making the inhabitants curious. they discover the collector eating the power line, but sadly they were already done for. now a zoom to the big city, where it seems the community is living a well organized life, and keeping stuff in control. now the collector, having presumably eaten all the houses, starts wreaking havoc. the collector (if it even still counts as one) eats almost everything. every building, every robot, and every bit of metal. it spreads out all over the city, becoming bigger and bigger, until it resembles a larva. hundreds of thousands of small robots, who seem to have been somewhat *created* by the huge larva, begins to drag and cover it in layers of yellow "rope" then a cut to a small robot activating a flower on some rubbish then a zoom to the robot on the pulsating cocoon, activating the flower. the cocoon opens, and a sort of "mecha butterfly" emerges from it, then flies away.

At 1:16 you can see how the Lumberjack is now part of the Collector, but he is aware and not just part of him totally, you can see how he is in a lot of confussion during the scene where you can see him, his eye is only pure White, the Collector Eye has a white circle and a black dot, so you can difference both eyes (You can still see him in the next scenes, looking to the Collector and his surroudings, also sorry if my english is bad, it's not my main language)

Interestingly...watch the eye that heroic robot had in later parts of the video. The eye will look around independently from the original eye; even looking at the viewer at one point. Showing that its still fully control of its own parts and mind. This is quite...intresting. maybe the part where little spider dornes come out to wrap the gaint down is created by our saw wielding hero to stop the robotic monster.

i love how this entire video is one big accident. if you look at 0:20 carefully you can see that the big robot is looking away when it eats the small one. this leads to the robot attempting to destroy a city, kind of like the butterfly effect. which makes sense because of the little nod to the butterfly effect at the end, when the monster-robot turns into a butterfly :)

I hear some in the comments dismiss the animation as just weird to be weird, but I think there might be some genuine meaning to the animation, not just an interesting concept. The song is called "Putty Boy Strut", Putty perhaps implying that it's about a youth being "molded" by an apparent mistake. Notice how the robot isn't looking forward when he snatches up the smaller one? And how it spirals completely out of control from there? We also have the "Transformation" into something beautiful bit at the very end, and the robot presumably is better off from this. Now there is also the important idea that everything is symbolic. What all these things symbolize is very hard to pinpoint, but I feel like there might be some correlation between the robot's first job of picking up lights and the 2 red lights above its final form's eyes. Perhaps it symbolizes a form of guidance or structure. Maybe it means nothing at all. In any case, this was a very imaginative and thought-provoking experience.

I wish he made an alternate ending where the sawmill bot wins the fight and becomes a hero in all of bot kind (that's not going to happen because this video is 8 years old) but props to the sawmill bot. watching this a few times, I realized that the reason this all happened was not because of the robot which ate the small robot, but because the robot which was eaten was defective, it could of accidentally eaten any other robots at any point in time, and likely similar has happened in the past, but the small robot that was eaten first seemed to have trouble figuring things out about it's own primary function, and once the robot ate the smaller one, said defect went onto him, and educed this "cannibalism"

I highly doubt a robot programmed only to fulfill a status quo would just suddenly lose all it's programing by just accidentally eating a smaller robot and get it replaced for a lust for a new way of life and government or such. At most, I could imagine the symbolism representing newer, stronger nations coming from old and/or corrupt nations and governments, similar to what happened with Americans and British.

Just now noticing that the sawblade guy gets turned into one of the things eyes. It's barely looking in the same direction as the other one, more towards its sawblade. Its still connected to that sawblade and is still trying to fight.

When the monster is actually eating the houses, the sawblade guy looks at its new leg attachment thing in fear, and then in the city it looks towards the monsters main mass trying to find the sawblade, and then the main eye because it got its shield thingy. It then gets pushed aside by the arm thing that appears and gets hidden in the mass. This guys storyline is actually horrifying. He unwillingly became a part of this monster, watched from that things perspective as it ate more people, and then was killed as the whole monster was.

I found it interesting that robots that turn on LEDs have a checkbox. I do electronics and programming on Arduino, and there is such a thing as a checkbox used. I will briefly explain that this is a variable that can store the state of an object, true, false. For example, the LED may light up when the button is pressed for the first time and go out when pressed again, this checkbox is responsible for this. I thought it was interesting, cool, if that was the author's idea.

This speaks to me from an evolutionary standpoint. Creatures can have a symbiotic relationship, until one finds it more advantageous to just kill its partner. This can be fine, but if overdone can lead to the destruction of an ecosystem through the birth of an Apex predator.
