Flying MU’s at Pinelawn. Largely M7 show. Grandstand for speed on the LIRR. 3/28/23

We witness some of the extra trains to operate on the main line since the recent schedule change on February 27.  Speeds are high as the max speed through here is 80mph. Lots of new express trains to Ronkonkoma.

Pinelawn is always a great place to see high speed M7s, M9s, and occasionally M3s. I really like Pinelawn it’s a great railfanning place to visit!

Pinelawn is a great train station. I will probably take the train from Ronkonkoma to Pinelawn next year in summer. And walk to Stew Leonard’s. From Pinelawn Train Station to Stew Leonard’s is a 10 min walk. Which is not bad.

That Grand Central to Farmingdale train I'm susprised it doesn't go back to GCT from Farmingdale like the old 6:25 from there to Penn. Also it stinks that there's no more express trains to Huntington during peak.

I love to tell the young ones that Northern State Parkway ended at Sunken Meadow (Sagtikos) Parkway and so did the LIE !!! Route 112 in Medford had one store and about 100 permanent residents. The JHS and HS were in one building. Medford train station lovely old example.
