Stick with that instructor he’s good. Noel you nailed the centerline on your landing, good job

Great job Noel, really pleased we didn't get to see that burger again, it looked a bit rocky haha. Until next time 🙂

You did great, flew like a seasoned pilot! Nice job putting the video together as well!

I love the disclaimer @1:57, but, I don't know, you explain and demonstrate things about flying in a way that even I can understand.

I saw a report on the Aviation Safety Network about a C-182 having a runway excursion at Hooks and thought the N-number sounded familiar. Now you confirmed it and I went back to one of your past videos and saw the N-number matched. Too bad. Looking forward to your instrument rating videos. One of the best ratings to get. I learned so much getting mine decades ago, pre GPS era. 😀

Yep it was 908VA. Sad, it was a nice plane. Hopefully another 182 coming soon though.

Oh Noel! I had no ideas you didn’t have a license by now! Good for you stick with it!
@FlyWithNoelPhilips Жыл бұрын
I've had my license a long time but am only doing my instrument rating now. I did my restricted instrument back in the UK but that's not valid here, and doesn't have RNAV approaches like over here.

Very good job Noel, right on the centre line. Your instructor is great at what he does too. I look forward to the next lesson or perhaps the final test if you are aloud to record it. All the best from Oz.

Thanks Greg, I'll be filming key parts from my IR course but not sure I'll be able to film the exam - you'll see it on here if I can though!

I love these videos in the small planes. I don’t know why as I can’t even drive a car! It’s good to see you progressing Noel!

Pretty cool! Your instructor was great. There was so much you had to deal with all at the same time, plus your vision was obstructed. That seems so scary, but you crushed it!

Thank you! Lucky to have a great instructor. Throws so much at me without it seeming forced, a great way to learn.

What instruments are on the plane . Trumpets drums violins. 😆. Keep up the great work. The more you fly the better you'll get. Hello from Pa USA 🇺🇸 💖 💓

Nicely done sir! I guess that's the problem with missed information when you have to switch freq to check weather, especially in busy areas. I'm not a pilot but love aviation and find your adventures relaxing to follow :)

13:46 Even on flight simulator when I’m trying to land on only instruments, I never seem to be aligned with the runway centerline 😅 but I guess that’s why I’m not rated for it. Nice flying Noel, this gives me confidence 👍never looking outside is way harder than it appears on camera 🎥 🙈

It's actually surprisingly easy. I guess you just focus on one point at a time and they all seem to match up!

New to your channels, welcome to the USA. I'm enjoying your videos and just wanted to share that I find the music beds annoying and they step on your narration. I'm a PPSEL, but out of the game due to medical so I like being able to tag along on your flights.

Appeared to be a textbook landing. Nice job. Love the single prop high wing. Will you film your check ride for RNAV?
@FlyWithNoelPhilips Жыл бұрын
Thank you! Not entirely sure. I have a feeling I'll be wanting to focus purely on the flying - but will see nearer the time!

Assuming during these IFR flights that ATC are responsible for keeping planes apart in the sky?

ok so....your new deal is to see how many different types you can get checked out in! like " ...what's Noel flying this week????" lol

Haha seems to be! I will be back in the Cirrus very soon, but staying in the 172 for my IR I think as it's slower and steadier while I'm learning.

Given how important ATC communication is, why do US controllers speak so quickly?

They're very busy and work very hard - but are always accommodating and will make time for you if you need it.

Great video, Noel! I especially loved the cockpit on that Cessna 172 shown at 1:38 I always love a good G1000 equipped airplane, and I’m a little hurt by the fact that you said the Cessna 172 was a fall from glory as I fly nothing but Cessna 172s! Ouch 😮 😂😂 All joking aside, great video as always, and I did not find the content boring, as you suggested that it might be. But maybe I’m in a different category since I’m also a pilot working on my instrument rating on a C172! Cheers 🥂 mate Caleb’s Aviation Also, I have a KZbin channel Caleb’s Aviation and enjoy, I have an entire playlist devoted to my private pilot license training. I also recently flew Cessna 172 with the G-1000 cockpit and it is linked here to check that video out. kzbin.info/www/bejne/n6C5gJ58e9mhZ7csi=8nRFh_4LzzwuyjcR
