Warriors are great little airplanes. I have a lot of time in one, back when I was instructing in early 1980's The 161 has a great airfoil, above the cherokee hershey bar wing. The 160HP engine is frugal, and when loaded with great avionics, makes for a perfect instrument trainer. The easy step up to the archer, and of course the Arrow... Warriors make great first airplanes...

Not really... They claim it was within annual and ready to fly, they said thay about the cougar too which wasnt in compliance with its annual (looking at the fuel cap seals for one). Let alone his couple interactions with the FAA... Like the one tire loss which ended him in the field grass... Where his "good to go" plane wasnt in compliance with an AD.

Hi from Brussels ! You know our airport ! ;) I followed your channel for a long time now and I never posted something before on your channel. Your videos are great but I am really lost in where you stand with all these aircrafts projects. The usual sequence is the following: An aircraft is bought, we have one or two videos about it and... we never hear about it for a long time ! I know that it can be difficult - financially speaking - for you to present what is the status of all aircrafts projects separately, but it could be so easy for us to get some references: You post the name of the airplane and the progress number and it would be clearer for everyone ! Thanks in advance for this ! See you !

How do I get on a list for planes you have for sale?
@christophergagliano20514 ай бұрын
I'm kind of surprised, nothing was mentioned about breaking in that new cylinder😮
@rebuildrescue4 ай бұрын
Our normal procedure is to break in the cylinder by running it as close to maximum continuous power as possible without allowing any CHT to exceed 420 degrees Fahrenheit for Continental cylinders or 440 degrees F for Lycoming cylinders. Run it this hard for an hour or two, until you see the CHT come down noticeably, indicating that the break-in is mostly complete. In the Warrior we don’t have cylinder head temp sensors so we keep it at least at 75% power. I’ve built a few hundred Air and Liquid cooled engines over the years and noticed a little more aggressive cylinder honing process helps to break them in quicker.
@christophergagliano20514 ай бұрын
@@rebuildrescue yeah that all sounds pretty reasonable. It would be fun to run a (CHT) thermal couple to that new cylinder just to see what the actual temperature was during break in and after break in. I recall someone recommending flying around with a bit of flaps out to create drag thus making the engine work a little harder.
