The airport we were flying at was a 1430m (4692ft) runway and we were airborne just under 2/3 of the way down. There were only 3 of us onboard though and we weren't fully fuelled. I haven't seen performance charts for MTOW take-off roll but I feel the sweet spot for this aircraft is 3-4 people onboard and not too much extra weight. For single pilot IFR though, this would be a lot of fun, a great business travel tool.

Get Cirrus to sponsor your RTW adventure with one of those babies, Stef. 😀👍 Never ceases to amaze how much the tech involved helps pilots have a far less stressful flying experience in jets rather than prop aircraft. As long as one learns to stay ahead of the aircraft!

I've been watching some of these Vision Jet videos, and have had one question in mind that you guys pretty much answered. I know all about top speed and altitude, but I've been wondering the opposite: What's the thing like at SLOW speed? I'm not really talking about landing speed... but more along the lines of slow, relatively low-altitude flying. Of course one of the major selling points for the plane is the ability to fly high and fast, but there are gonna be times when it would just be a lot more fun to go as low as legally allowed, while also keeping the speed at a slow (but safe) speed. Think just calmly cruising around sight-seeing. So I had been wondering if it was possible to fly low and slow (like in a small prop plane) if the mood struck you. And from what I gathered in part of this video, it seems that yes it IS possible. So, what would you say... as low as 100 or so (considering variables of course)?
@tomboard13 жыл бұрын
Turbine engines don't really like low altitude though. They gulp the fuel.
