I just flew a Cirrus SR-22T for the second time in my life earlier today. It's a dream to fly. I can't imagine how nice that jet is. I'm very jealous and happy for you too.
@speedomars3 жыл бұрын
I own the SR22T. The jet was designed to fly EXACTLY like the SR22T. The pattern and stall speed are the same. The side stick the same. The major differences are of course the cabin-class door, the extra seating and the panel which has a touch interface. The jet also has no prop in front so the view in unobstructed.
@speedomars3 жыл бұрын
@Michael John Dennis Laughing. In all Cirrus the cargo area is measured in cubic feet far more than enough room for luggage, golf clubs, skis, freight or even furniture. Weight and balance is the main issue, not space.

You need to compare the $2m price tag to other products in it's market niche. ALL OF THEM are far more expensive. For example, the TBM and Pilatus jet-props are 4 to 5m. The Honda Jet (claims to be VLJ) is $7m. And none of them has a chute.

Yeah, I punched through some towering cumulus on a flight in a Cherokee 6-260 many years ago. I had a WX-10 Stormscope, which showed all weather left and right of me, and nothing ahead, but I had the same jolt you had, only mine lasted a lot longer at 11,000 ft., and I had to ask ATC for a block of altitude that was 4,000 ft. thick, because I had no control over my altitude. ATC assured me I could do as I pleased (nobody else was stupid enough to be in the same place).

Beats driving and business class absolutely. Honda has some work to do no doubt...with HondaJet being the only competitor in this class of course. As they say in the boating business "one engine is just one less massive big deal to go wrong as opposed to having 2 engines." Of course in the alternative are powered Catamarans which make a lot more sense than flight here upon Coastal Carolina and Georgia and are obviously far safer and family fun when not working too. For straight up transit are "ground effect vehicles" which could have a flight time from Miami to New York/Long Island in a couple of hours and again if there's a problem you wind up settling back into the water instead of crashing into something. Certainly a lot of work for the FAA either way. Anything to clear US Highways of vehicular traffic as this does is always a good thing. Trains clearing US Highways of Truck and even having to own Das Auto thus less to even zero Traffic also a clear positive as well. Long Uber. Long Lyft Strong buy
