Flying United's GROUNDED Boeing 737 MAX 9 | First Class | Boston - Newark

Welcome to another video! Today, we'll be taking a flight with United Airlines in First Class from Boston to Newark on one of the carriers brand new Boeing 737 MAX 9's with the United NEXT interior. This flight was recorded in October 2023. Little that I know at the time, that it may be my last flight on a MAX 9 for at least a while. Just a few months before the FAA grounded Boeing 737 MAX 9 series aircraft indefinitely following an incident where a door plug panel of an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 9 was lost shortly after takeoff from Portland, OR. United currently operates a fleet of 79 MAX 9's with more on order, all of which have been grounded until further notice. I have a trip booked with United for April and it shows Max 9 in both segments, I already have a fear of flying and this does not help one bit...hopefully they will still be grounded by April!

I paid for a First Class fare well in advance. Complimentary upgrades are given to status holders closer to departure to fill the available seats.
