I sure miss those days, the views, the sounds, the scent of green gold and aviation (av) gas 😊

I bought 3 of the power wedges. I haven’t used them yet. Hope to. I have learned a lot from watching you. I am retired and I built a sawmill for my woodworking hobby. Wondering if you have family at home. Do you get to go home regularly? Like watching your videos almost every evening. You do a great job. Thanks Lonnie

Hi Lonnie, thanks for watching and thanks for buying some wedges. We just got a new puppy, no kids yet. I am currently working lots. Saving up for a winter trip to Europe, a new truck, bathroom renovation bill and my next invention(hint: gold panning)

Varies on size of operation. Most float camps are around 20 rooms. The big ones have 50 rooms.

This must be a different company you’re working for. Usually you’re clearing everything for safety for the chopper, why are you leaving all the saplings this time? I can’t see it being an erosion thing as this ground isn’t any steeper than the other blocks you’ve filmed.

The company that bought the wood told us not to bother cutting all the saplings. Must be private lands? I don’t really know, I just cut 🤷‍♂️

@@BjarneButler thanks man. If nothing else it was cool watching the big logs steamrolling all the saplings.

Did this type of work on the East Coast. The land is nowhere near as rugged nor are the trees as big, but the job is just as dangerous when you're working with chain saws and widow makers. Hats off to you for what you do.

Retired from the forestry biz long time ago... but still love the challenge of dropping trees and limbing/bucking as a major source of home heating firewood. The buzz of the saw and the fragrance from firs, cedars etc. intoxicating ... smiley face good times in the woods.

Great views! Based on its size, I am certain that the animal was a fisher. It is a weasel species. It is much bigger than a marten, but smaller than a wolverine.

As a man who burns through a few chainsaws with hours and hours of use, I am wondering if you have ever tried those Chinese knockoffs just for kicks and giggles and what you thought of them in general? It would be interesting to know your views. Thanks for all the good videos.
