I agree. TTC should adopt Metrolinx' standard across its system. Just the right amount of information at the right time. 5 Eglinton Line, where the elevators are, and then the direction visible as you go down to the platform.

Yes, there is an guided path to elevator.

there's clearly a tactile path to the elevator. i don't think visually impaired people should be directed to the stairs or escalator.

Aesthetically, both the exterior and interior are profoundly deficient. Was this station designed by someone who's never had eyesight? Or just never had a soul? Unbelievable.

What would you want it to look like?
@dixonpinfold258211 ай бұрын
@@Daniel-jv1ku Is this an RFP (Request For Proposals)?😄 What is the submission fee? But seriously, I would want to see some imaginative use of colour and some curves. All white, all straight lines, and all right angles is not felt by many to represent ideals of beauty or visual interest. When I look at the box my Dove soap comes in (it answers to that description) I feel emptier than when I look at the bar of soap itself. I just want to scrunch it up and wing it into the recycling bin. (Btw, the meagre use of black stone or tile on the Fairbank Station's floor adds minuscule visual interest.) In 2023 current materials, the latest design software and the latest construction techniques offer a world of beautiful possibilities at a reasonable cost. Thanks for asking.

Currently one of the major issues is software defects in the signalling and train control system and the rectification of those defects by the consortium building the project, reported Metrolinx CEO Phil Verster recently.

Yeah. I feel like some more architectural modern materials could be used, such as wooden slabs and some colour to it, because the walls and basically the whole station design is pure white, but nope 👎

Everything looks nice except for the platform level, because the gray concrete is jarring compared to the white mezzanine floating above. Could you paint it white? It have a feeling it wouldn't cost too much money and wouldn't take a lot of time either.

I'm guessing the dust from the tunnels would turn that paint job a gray color really fast. Tiles would be a better idea
