Hi Andrej hope you are doing well and as it looks enjoying the warm summer days. How long are the flight times you get with the 450? With my FW450 v. 3 and latest ESC (the original one went up in smoke) I get flight times with a 6000mAh 4S 60C Lipo of only 12 minutes average and a 3S 3300mAh 60C around 6 minutes flying in 3D mode. People are reporting times of over 20 minutes with a 5000mAh 4S pack.

Hi Richard, thank you. I am doing well, I hope you are well too. I think you should get more flight time with that 4s Lipo. But the flight time depends on the flight mode - as you probably know in manual mode the HS is always at 100% but in GPS mode you can set the HS. People reporting flight times of over 20min are probably flying the heli in GPS mode the whole flight which means that the HS is about 65% and not 100%. With my stock 4s 4450mAh HV Lipo I easily get more than 20 minutes of flight time with my FW Bell 206 (flying in manual mode at 100% headspeed; but the gearing is different on the Bell 206, you have to fly at 100% TH with two blades on V1 Bell206): kzbin.info/www/bejne/jnTRl2mvo7p0bZI I have never tested the max flight time with that 4s 4450mAh lipo on my FW450 V2 as I don't like to use 4s, I prefer 3s on that heli. That's because I only fly in manual mode which unfortunately gives the heli 100% headspeed no matter the setting for TH% in the FC. 4s on my FW450 gives it too much headspeed which stresses out the belt and the heli doesn't fly well on that HS. I am mostly using a 3s 4000mAh lipo which still gives enough HS for light acro flying. In my opinion, for flying the FW450 heli in manual mode the best option is to use a 3s lipo which could be of a high capacity to achieve long flight times or a little smaller - like 4000mAh which is still light enough for soft 3D flying. So my setting for TH% in the FC is at 100% which means that the HS between different flight modes doesn't change.
