Thank you so much. So glad I found this video. My god I have just received the flywing Bell 206 scale heli and I could not figure it out for love nor money. What an absolute faff. Took several attempts of me twirling and twisting the heli on my pc before it finally said completed. Think that's the down side with doing it in doors on a pc. Guess it picks up the GPS better out doors with a laptop.

Awesome job Joey. Just one thing. In inverted flight mode. change it from easy to Professional. this way when you go inverted you can practice the real inverted controls rather than easy controls. Easy controls will never let you learn 3D the right way. Only Professional controls you can learn the inverted flight inverted controls :)

This is for V2 or V2.5 I just got a new V3 and it seems the compass calibration is easier to do, and not as much necessary as the earlier versions? Also, the V3 GPS sensor is no longer mounted on the tail boom, it's now it the heli body. And with V3 no more belt to tail, it's now a brushless motor on the tail. Also with V3 the auto oval & figure 8 options are gone. Wonder if there will be a V3.5 or V4 and what more improvements there will be? I just got my V3 version on July 15th. 2023.

Maybe a bit difficult as you need to do the calibration outside to register the gps.

Muss ich nach dem kalibrieren noch mal die Fernbedienung kalibrieren? Er ist bei Versuch in vom Boden abheben zulassen umgekippt. Do I have to calibrate the remote control again after calibrating? He fell over when attempting to lift off the ground.

once you have calibrated the compass ,do you have to do it again every time you fly the heli,or if flying at a different location ,or is once enough ?same goes with the GPS ,does that work well at different locations?thanks,,

If you plan to fly in other locations then yes it is recommended that you re calibrate just as a precaution.

They are but it’s recommended ( even by the manufacturer ) to give it a calibration in a new area.

What a pain all that computer stuff I have a dji inspire all you got to do is move around a few times to get gps lock -have flown it for over 5 yrs now + what about the husband drone flies out of the box !!!!!!!

What calibration program are you using there? The connectors are just ordinary USB cables or did they come with the heli?

Hello my friend I bought and received the helicopter 2 days ago. Wanting to make some changes to the transmitter on the controls I pressed to return to the factory settings and as I found out afterwards nothing worked. After I downloaded the manual for the transmitter I reprogrammed the functions except for one ... when starting the motor the tail motor starts working but not the central one. Do you know if this can be fixed with some adjustment in the transmitter that I have not done? thanks.

If you download the software for the H1 and connect your heli, you could just try the install new helicopter and all the settings will be automatic

Are you sure that the calibration wasn't done by the manufacturer ? There's no mention of it in the Quick Start Guide, nor a link to where & how ? If this needs to be done & isn't described then there will be lots of wreckages ! Where & How please before I bugger mine up ?

If you connect the heli and the red light continues to flash, it means it has not been calibrated. If you connect the heli, and the light is solid and then you can turn on the GPS and it turns green, it means it is already calibrated. You won't be able to connect or take off if the heli is not calibrated. Instructions to calibrate are in the H1 flight controller manual that you will find on the Fly Wing website under "Flight control system", along with the software. You probably won't need the serial port driver and I found that when doing the calibration, "COM 3" worked on both computers I used it on. Just plug a cord into the heli from computer, you don't need to connect it to the transmitter or battery. Keep repeating the movements until the bars reach the end.
