If Bandai makes a MG Aerial, then the bar has already been set so they need to exceed it. And since this is such a nice kit, I am very excited to see how much better a MG could be. Of course there's the obvious things like a opening cockpit and a more detailed inner frame, but I wonder what else they could do. I wouldn't mind seeing more detail on the accessories. The rifle is a little boring and could use some color separation. When the gun bits are disassembled, there are a few ugly hollow areas.

I love love love this kit. Definitely good for beginners. I was actually spoiled by this because the kit in general after the build is very solid -- like an action figure, even, and it's so much fun to pose.

Honestly I always appreciate a review of a kit a little after the initial hype has passed and there's a little more perspective on it- though it doesn't hurt that I have the P-Bandai Permet 6 version of this on the way pretty soon!

I scored the new FM aerial clear colour versions on buyee (From an ichiban kuji that started end of august in japan, Last one and A price, one has milky clear armor the other clear blue, yellow, red parts) and lokinf forward to them (already got the OG FM aerial)

i thought this was an MG this whole time since its a 1/100 scale. I am holding off on getting this hoping to get MG Aerial Rebuild cause i really don't like getting duplicates. Also maybe try getting the Kosmos LED for the FM Aerial, saw some pictures of it and it looks cool, i think wiring would be a pain.

a definite must for a mg would be an adapter-less shield. the big grey thing holding them together shouldn't be there and the only figure to omit it was the SD Caliban, sonseeinga property clean one would make the mg am insta buy for me if they can achieve that.

Ive kinda skipped this too knowing a mg of this and at least calibarn is inevitable. Id be willing to wager in a secret room at bandai behind a mop closet hidden door is a team of monkies cackling about the new mg aerialbeing done, but should it be a premium bandai only kit. Bandai won't make MG Aerial which sucks. So RAY Studio made his own MG Aerial by combining the FM + 3D printed + MG Barbatos inner frame.

It's been a while since I built it, but I really enjoyed it. Still looks great on my shelf, especially since I got the special stand that you can mount all the gun bits on. I might even get that 3rd party add on that gives led trails for all the bits.

I don’t think they will make MG aerial since this FM is a really good kit. Nowadays Full Mechanics kits are not like those old ones from IBO, they are sturdy with good articulation and details so there is no need for a Master Grade version since new FM is basically MG minus cockpit and full inner frame aka things that you don’t see and forget about in matter of minutes after building the kit

I don't understand why Bandai doesn't make MG products in this series. Maybe they want to test the market. Mercury Witch was an animation from two years ago, with only 24 episodes. Although Bandai has the IP of the Gundam series, it seems to have lost its creative direction.

@@Peasham I think you didn't understand what I meant. What I meant was that Gundam animation has reached a bottleneck. From the plot point of view, the Witch of Mercury can run for another 12 episodes. The story lacks background. The story is malleable. The ending is sloppy. And they don't fully synchronize the toys with the animation. For example, the Barbatos series. It's like, this is done by different teams and has nothing to do with each other. So I said that they don't seem to have a creative direction. They can't tell a good story, and they can't make the characters in the story connect with the toys.

For example, when I want to criticize Zeta and how it felt like it had to have a fight scene in basically every episode despite most of them being irrelevant to the story, I point to the Moon Moon episode whose first half is a beautiful hybrid of slice of life and character development, only for the second half to be dedicated entirely to a fight scene that could've been cut out whilst changing nothing. Do you have specific examples in the show that prove your point? Cuz if you can't talk about the show's content without making broad statements, no one's gonna understand you.

@@Peasham Gundam animation and toys are usually integrated. Because the copyright holder is Bandai. However, whether this war story can be told well and accepted by the audience is another matter. You don't seem to understand that there are huge obstacles to creation in this regard. Although the Gundam story already has the concept of different universes such as CE, UC, and AGE, the only one with continuity is the UC universe. "Witch of Mercury" is the latest animation. But the problem they encountered is the same as "Iron-Blooded Orphanage". Although the mecha design has received feedback from the audience, the plot has not received relevant feedback. Usually their best-selling works will select the most popular mechas at the moment to make MG or PG models, such as Assault and Exia. They didn't do this in "Witch of Mercury". The 1:100 specification does not necessarily have an internal skeleton. MG has an internal skeleton. The richer the internal skeleton, the greater the range of mechanical activities that can be achieved. I don't understand why you are so radical. Because the popularity of Gundam animation has actually been declining. Bandai does not cherish this IP. They have produced a lot of garbage. The audience usually likes more than just the mecha design. There needs to be a corresponding story to match it in order to gain high popularity. This is also why the SEED series always puts freedom first. Although I am not very satisfied with the story of SEED, the story is complete and tells the main conflict between humans and adjusters. However, Mercury Witch ignored all this and focused on gimmicks. Only with a good story will people chase those messy settings, just like EVA, without a story, these designs are just designs. Mercury Witch expressed the political status of the consortium vaguely. Although there is a space alliance, they are different from the federal government. Although the story can be extended, they did not do more stories. All the homosexuality in it is just a gimmick. There is no homosexuality in the animation at all. Just like the extremely violent ending of Galahorn in Iron-Blooded Orphans was handled very hastily, which also led to the subsequent Iron-Blooded Orphans being cut. These are all creative bottlenecks. If you don’t understand what I’m saying, don’t attack others. Moreover, you don’t actually express any actual content, but you are asking others to listen to you. I don’t approve of this behavior. The bottleneck of animation creation is related to the toys themselves, because they are integrated. This also includes commercial-related development and promotion. In fact, not every Gundam animation is so good-looking. But there are excellent works here. I think you need to learn a lot before you attack people. Rather than accusing people of not listening to you. My comment was not that offensive, I was stating the truth. With how awful the show was, I learned my lesson on preording kits from unproven or a new series. It was so bad that I can't justify building my FM Aerial and wasting space in one of my displays for it. Probaby going to use it for testing paints. After all, its value to me is no greater than a box of spoons.
