What a beautiful flight! I used to have a Great Planes Cherokee 40 that I made wooden skis for and flew off the snow all the time. It was a lot of fun.

WOW - bet that's a great flier!!! I'd love another bigger Cherokee. I love my 1.3m Cherokee...both of them ;) This plane flew so much better than I expected, or could have hoped for. It really impressed me!!! The snow stopped about 4 hours later LOL and about 5 inches deep!!!

You need to get a Radio Glove for your transmitter. They also keep your hands and fingers warm while flying .I have one for years now and just got done flying New Years day in a snow storm just like that! I'm over here in Battle Creek, Michigan and winters can get nasty also, our club always has a New Years day fly no matter what and I always am sure to attend! Get a Radio Glove!

I have one but don't use it much, since I'm afraid of accidentally flipping switches, then I also forgot to tape over the scroll wheel ;)

@ that’s right! BP You may have been the first person online I’ve seen use one a while ago 🤔. BPhillips is still one of the 🐐. Helped me learn the basics about this hobby especially foamy assembly and setup so well! Always grateful for the work he’s put in. 👍🏾

My favourite FMS/Eflite warbird. Easy tricycle landing gear. Pops up in 2m. Super slow landings. Can carry quite a large lipo. LED (rare) and lovely livery. Mine has the FMS Voodoo motor in it (direct fit) with a 120A Hobbywing FlyFan esc and 2 blade 11x7 wooden prop. Fly on 3000 6s and it's one of my most fun, fastest plane with a 7 min timer.

Thanks for the video. I'm about done with FMS though. I got the J3 cub and had lots of trouble getting it together. the struts wouldn't snap in and I finally had to glue them on. Also got the Super EZ for a friend and the rods for the floats were missing. It took a month to get a couple of parts I ordered at the same time which they didn't have in stock and didn't let me know. I found out when I called them to see what happened to them. Also it cost me $15 for shipping for parts I needed.

I hope there is a deicing system on the leading edge of the wing 😂. Well done. You never stop. I am sure that you will fly in the midst of a tornado and judge if the plane does fly straight. Excellent dude. I loved this video. Keep up posting. ❤

yes, we did fly when there was an actual deadly tornado a few miles away once, we didn't know it was deadly at that time, but it was close (30 or 40 miles away)...it was a cool flight - Trekker from Arrows ;) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/hGLYimx6pdB4qsk

I haven't crashed into myself...well technically I have... I've hit the camera crew, but only because she is so dedicated ;) She wouldn't jump out of the way of a strange bounce from an old plane about 7 or 8 years ago. She laughed it off, but I felt super bad, and I was mad that she didn't move (like I was asking her to do). I guess, I've technically hit myself when CATCHING planes - If I miss, does that count ;)

That plane has been creeping onto my radar for a while, now. I always seem to pull the trigger on something else. But, with your insights about it's awesome flight characteristics, man! I might need to get one! That cooky flap did kind of turn me off a bit. But, it seems to work pretty darn well. Awesome snow flight, btw. That plane skidding around on the runway was pretty cool. Thanks for toughing it out, Camera Crew! Brian was out there trying to soak his NX10, so he can start using the NX8 again sooner😊 I'm so glad I got my NX8, back in '23 (even though my wife wouldn't let me use it until Xmas). Updates are so easy. And now 20 channels. I mean, cmon! Anyways, Happy New Years, Pham! 👍

I have a question. My nx8 has a Problem with the throttel. It often gets stuck or doesn't feel smooth when moving slowly. Do you have this too or do you know what to do? I've had the transmitter since summer

I would do one of two things... 1) Reach out to Spektrum 2) IF you want, adjust the tension on the sticks. There's a bunch of screws that you can adjust to change how the throttle feels...I like it SMOOTH, but some like the DETENT feel...play with it, if you wish.
