It’s amazing it has the feel of a bigger crawler it always seems to find traction & is not as top heavy as it seems. It’s my new favorite mini the only thing I’ve done so far is nice metal beadlocks & Injora tires & that definitely made a difference.

In you opinion, is this better than the Furitek FX118? What about the HobbyPlus CR18P Evo? We need a shootout of these top three 1/18 contenders! I have this FCX18 and I have done like you said and am using an old school PDI CJ7 lexan body for the rough rocks and stock LC80 for cruising. I have a CR18P EVO Rock Van on the way and will soon have the FX118 to do my own comparison. Thanks for all you do.

Appreciate your sharing, love my LC 80 I have switched out rims and tires only so far. Oh I did get a set of Shock keys haven’t decided to use them yet I love the stance with my new tires and rims. I’ll be watching for more happy crawling😊

Like many of the fms 24th scales, I love the scale look of this one; my fav is the power wagon. I wouldn't do much to it besides wheels/tires, maybe the links, and a little bit of weight, but not too much. Why not keep it close to how it feels out of the box, looking scale, and then having a challenge on small rocks and trails. When you start to mod it so much, it looses that initial feel and look.

That is a very functional mod! I would love to see a longer wheel base chassis that that could be had with some nice pickup truck body (like the1 /18 K10 or similar).

I think the short wheelbase is why it can climb so well in this video. Longer wheelbase might have worse breakover angle, but also allow it a little more stability.

What does everyone recommend for the best tire ? Dont want a super wide one that pokes a lot

Are these the 55 mm tires?? I put some saplings from ccxrc in a set and couldn’t believe how much better they were. Love this truck so capable and what a beauty.also I removed the front bumper and got huge gains.

Always appreciate the honest videos Francis! Question, what is your take on brass wheels on the mini rigs (1/18-1/24)? Does it cause any concern, or mainly just benefit?

Right on my good man. Brass wheels on an Axial SCX24 or any mini crawler with a small motor is not a good idea. There is simply too much weight for the tiny motor. So a 180 motor, especially one with a 2-speed tranny is full capable. Brushless too.

Anyone having trouble with the steering Servo because mine Bork after 2 weeks of having it?

It could have been damaged from the factory. Could have overheated from jamming up the steering under a rock. Could have broken some gears from an impact without a servo saver. If it's weak, setting the BEC to a higher voltage on the ESC.

I bought two, 1 for myself and 1 for my son… Do not buy this rc it broke on the first day, yes you can get parts but it will continue to break in many different ways…my son is extremely disappointed.. do not waste your money!!!
