Brian, love the video! The shelf liner tip AMAZING! One quick question, I just happen to have a Spektrum AR631 with AS3X and Safe Select receiver, could I use that in this plane instead of the FMS Reflex? (“Just happen to have” because my RC trainee period has included COMPLETELY demolishing my E-Flite Valiant, ha ha)

So funny! I had to exchange the velcro strap in my FMS Maule with one of the 2 FMS straps that came in my FMS PA18 1.3m. That tiny little pa18 cockpit needed TWO heavy duty straps?!? 😂 and the Maule had the "mid-grade" straps... BUT, i really have had a lot of success interchanging parts on multiple FMS planes. That said, my wife will murder me if ANOTHER FMS cub style plane shows up on our doorstep... guess ill have to have it delivered around back 👍

Was the reverse thrust added only recently? I bought my Kingfisher in 2020 and I certainly don't have the yellow wire from the ESC.

I just bought this plane but need an rx for it. Can I use either one of these Lemon RX's as I want to also keep and use the Reflex system for stabilization. Lemon has a 6 channel and a 7 channel over at Motion RC for way less than an AR620. Help please.

Looks like a fun plane to fly but after having the Arrows Bigfoot and having to change rudder and elevator servos I’m out. It was a real nightmare!

I have 1 of these and they fly great and pretty efficient on 3s. If I remember right the esc is rated for 4s but the motor is not. I tried it on the bench with 4s and was fine but not sure how long the motor would hold up running 4s.

Watched a lot of your set up videos, this one seemed much more complicated with the FMS controller

Well can I use foam tac the same way? Are they not a simular product?
@DuneDaddyO4 ай бұрын
Why not just cut / trim the existing strap to make it shorter?

You make a great point about stereo optics. Why isn't there two cameras for FPV? They have certainly created some great cameras lately, that are weighing under 20 grams."Coming soon to Brian Phillips RC" Great idea.!!!

All great content and helpful tips Brian. However I must respectfully disagree with your position on prop installation and battery storage. You've a perfect platform for teaching the young, inexperienced, and yes challenged, to prevent prop bites and battery fires within the home. Why take a chance on both issues if you don't have to ? No we won't blame you and you won't blame us - that makes me feel better for sure. Kids will copy what they see their seniors do. Please make these great videos better by helping someone keep their fingers and homes, Thanks
