Thank you for doing this. This doesn't look like a easy gun to take apart.

Love my 5.7, but that mag disconnect is one of the more stupid things I've seen. Sounds like some liberal nonsense.

which parts did you polish and how was your result? so far i've shortened the mag safety and that took off about 1lb. i'm planning on polishing the hammer and sear connection and was wondering if anything else would be worthwhile. great video by the way!

Why everytime i try to put my mag in it struggles and when i get it in the trigger stiffens up and cant pull it
@TruthsohelpmeYah Жыл бұрын
I'm having the same problem. It works fine if I remove the magazine, but pushing it in, it becomes very stiff.

@@TruthsohelpmeYah its been months and i still don’t figure it out 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ a new 5.7 just sitting there

I think it has something to do with the magazine disconnect. He disconnected his, and I think it had to go on top, or it gets pushed up and blocks the trigger bar
@TruthsohelpmeYah Жыл бұрын
Fixed it. I had to take out the magazine disconnector and bend it so it was straighter. After that, make sure the trigger bar is below it when you put it in. Without the magazine, the sear wont be able to be engaged, but with it it can and the hammer falls.

@@archivaldosanchez7508 I figured it out. Do what I did and it works fine.

I wonder what the metal slide is coated with ? Phosphate or nitride?

It's a bit easier to remove the locking block (and it is a locking block) by driving it's pin out first, then driving the pin holding the spring in. Just in my experience.

Do you have a video or can recommend a video on how to properly remove the magazine disconnect from the Mark II FsN?
@TheGunBench3 жыл бұрын
I don’t believe you can actually remove it it just has to be lifted up and placed in a different position. You may check ashburn armorers channel he does a lot of disassembly videos too

Where could I get another pin that locks the clip...
@raplopez42583 жыл бұрын
9:05 I'm guessing in order to remove the Firing Pin Safety you have to use a punch and hammer to remove the rear sight base, which is why you didn't feel like removing it.

@TheGunBench7 ай бұрын
If you watch again it’s on the firing pin as I put it in the channel, then I remove the pin to show something and the spring stayed in the channel. You can see it as I put the firing pin back in for the last time.
