Phone Guy can’t be William Afton because he dies on night 4 by the animatronics and if he was it would be impossible for him to die because he destroyed the animatronics. Also phone guy dies *BEFORE* William because the animatronics are still active and after phone guy’s death William destroys the 4 then dies in the Springlock suit

Tom, PurplePhone was debunked back in FNaF 3. Phone Guy dies in the security office by Golden Freddy before FNaF 1. William Afton dies (albeit still around via paranormal means) in the safe room by Springlock failure after FNaF 1 during the FNaF 3 Follow Me flashbacks. Also gonna mention totally different voice actors. Purple Guy is not Phone Guy in the games, that's just something the Movie did. The Movie is a different continuity.

There’s a little more to add on, but quite a bit unrelated. In the Night 4 call, all animatronics are attacking what we assume to be William. Just like when William was cornered and went into the old Bonnie suit. Maybe the call could have been made outside the storage room and he was inside the security guard’s room, assuming the ghosts of the children could sound and act like their animatronic counterparts. The children got in and the call ended when William started running.
