Admittedly, i WOULD have to disagree on 1:10 that Burntrap simply... didnt exist at all? That definitely raises a few questions like "What was draining all that power?" and "Why is Burntrap's arena, including the Charging Station still there, if he never existed?" At the very least, Burntrap's body *would* still exist, considering it's an entirely separate Endo (A Springlock Endo at that, the exact type that Spring Bonnie from the leaked VR files and FNAF 3's Springtrap used) (Infact, i suspect it's simply William, and not quite anything DIRECTLY Mimic-related...) As for why he's missing? A few options: The Blob ate him, much like Burntrap Ending. He simply walked out, while the Blob was dormant and the exit was free, considering Vanny was now gone... POSSIBLY (but not likely) he's still somewhere in the location? As for Mimic + Burntrap: Mimic1 IS inside William, and is (at least partially) controlling him much like it did Vanessa and Greggory. Mimic1 is trying to free William from UCN (a program capable of digging into human minds, creating "alter egos"/controlling people MAY be the ticket to Exorcising any Vengeful Children...), so that it can *learn* from (and maybe later kill?) Him much better. Either way, there's certainly a few routes... I however will choose to believe Burntrap and Blob are eating Pancakes at Denny's during the events of Ruin til there's more to work with/a confirmation :V 3:04 While i believe the Backstory MAY have similar elements, i also suspect this is simply a Book Henry vs Game Henry scenario too, where the Game version came after the Book, and ended up going two different routes ultimately (with some similarities)... So far, while there ARE errors in the timeline, especially if you're Generous with Greggory's mention of how long it'd been down there, stuff like "it having the wrong costumes" may be simple errors rather than concrete proof the Book Backstory *didnt* happen. 4:28 While i dont think this is likely, i've definitely thought of this... Having a combo of a Puppet/Charlie AND Stitchwraith Parallel, alongside being the first Animatronic (and a possessed/self-aware one at that) would be INCREDIBLY interesting. Alas, it may simply just be "Cassie Survives and Roxy helps her escape" though, but i do slightly hope she DOES die... 12:23 ALSO have to step in here: Security Breach goes out of it's way to *ensure* it never states "Children" in the slightest. Only "Local Residents" going missing, and "The Disappearances". It's also pretty likely that they're more related to Bonnie directly, how exactly though? Not certain. But he *clearly* has some tie to them, considering his eyes glow like theirs, until all of them are shut off. One popular theory, of course, is that Bonnie IS still Alive, despite being torn to shreds. And that he's sending out a "Distress Signal" that nobody's noticed. Actually, INCREDIBLY similar to Aperture Desk Job. Cave Johnson for the past 4 years flashing lights under his portraits, as a sort of "Distress Signal", to catch someone's attention so they can KILL him. As for who killed Bonnie? Monty's *behavior* doesnt match, exactly, for someone so greedy for the limelight he seems pretty casual blowing off appearances... But, say, if the MIMIC took control of Monty? Especially considering we *know* in the books he likes ripping off *arms and legs,* exactly what we see detached? Either way, decent bit i agree with, some i dont, not really too surprising

If you think about it, William Afton not being The Mimic (And Possibly, Glitchtrap) is actually a good thing for the series. That means in the FNAF 6 Fire where everyone dies, William died too, and what Herny said in his speech really makes a lot of sense and feels good that the main story ends that way.

A little detail you kinda missed is that when you deactivate the wet-floor bots around Bonnie, his eyes shut off. It's possible that Bonnie was using the last of his energy to use those little bots as a distress signal of sorts, and by deactivating all the bots you're basically just deactivating him. I didn't come up with that but I think it's worth mentioning.

I think this view is really reasonable and makes a lot of sense. However, I feel like we're doing more to build the story than Steel Wool is. The SB trailer started one story, then the game abandoned it for a different one. Then ruin abandoned that story for another. I really don't think they had the whole mimic thing planned out from the beginning. It seems clear they were telling a different story during that game, then changed it. Feels like Steel Wool is flailing around making stuff up as they go

I like this idea, I imagine this outcome came from the backlash of afton coming back yet again. I remember when it initially happened, people were shocked, but there was a lot of hate going around saying fnaf was getting stale with afton returning over and over, then mimic changed that dramatically imo

I believe we are falling into the fnaf3 rabbit hole where we thought we had all the pieces but we didnt and instead of waiting for more answers, new content has to be made to redirect the fanbase before they stray to a complete misunderstanding of the games. What I mean by this is that waaayy more pieces from SB and Help wanted make SENSE with Ruin. We thought they were absurd but we didn't have the pieces. This is how fnaf has worked. Until fnaf6 we didn't know a lot and felt like the games were just gibberish. UCN is to me, the end of 'chapter 1' on fnaf story, and right now we are in the middle of chapter 2

I think it is fine if they make an altogether better story, even if they rewrite it. Scott Cawthon also changed the story along the way, as fnaf was supposed to end at the third game, then the fourth, but because of the backlash scott made sister location.

I love this recap! I'm so happy with everything that we got in Ruin. The storytelling seems really straightforward, which is why I think there's no need for just using the books as parallels. It answers a lot of questions from Security Breach while also leaving things open for future games. I also plan on making a video about why I think the endings are amazing. Overall I'm just so impressed by this DLC and I love the way you described everything that happened :)

Yeah I agree 100% - at this point I genuinely can't see how the books are parallels when they help answer everything we were missing and help fill in the blanks of the Timeline... without them it just causes more problems and (like I said in the video) requires you to create a new complicated backstory on a character that has a whole 8 books worth of backstory already. This raises 2 questions: 1. Why didn't Gregory and Vanessa just destroy the mimic? They can build such system to keep it trapped, yet for some reason can't destroy it? Henry in fnaf 6 gathered, trapped and burned down everyone, couldn't they trap and burn the mimic? 2. If the Blob/Tangle was supposed to ensure the Mimic stays there, where was it when Cassie was freeing and freed the Mimic?

1. I'd assume it was too dangerous and so they just lured it into the room instead of trying to fight it themselves 2. It might not even realize what Cassie is doing since it's just going around the building, and by the endings we got in Ruin the Mimic hasn't escaped yet so there's no reason for the Blob/Tangle to come down and deal with it? Not too sure.

I'm with you on most of this outside of 1 thing: I do believe Burntrap is still in the charging station he came out of in SB. Just because the Princess Quest ending is most likely canon, that doesn't mean Burntrap just doesn't exist, we saw The Blob/Tangle in Ruin, so that should also mean Burntrap should also exist.

Your explanation makes so much sense explaining it as being apart of the Vanny ending, hence why Freddy is headless and in Fazer Blaster, but I'm wondering why they labeled the Freddy in Ruins as a prototype. I mean I guess that doesn't imply that there are clones if Glamrock Freddy is the first, and I don't really remember there being any dialogue implying they had multiple animatronics (barring the endos?) to replace if they get damaged. Idk I can't tell if that's just a strange detail with no real connotations (Is this a book reference? Was this something that was always on Freddy?) or it implies something important.

0:38 I don't think the books are a must read. At least not as important as some people now seem to think. Sure the books make it easier to understand whats going on and also give us early teasers of whats in store for the games, but if you just had the games, you could figure out a bunch just with them. For example, the only thing that we don't know about the mimic is the exact circumstances of how it was created. All other stuff gets communicated directly and indirectly since Help Wanted. There was an old animatronic that got scanned in and created a glitch that took the form of Afton. That glitch infected Vanessa got into the Pizzaplex and made the animatronics aggressive. And since Vanny helped Burntrap in the basement we can assume that the source of this glitch is Burntrap who also is very likely the Mimic in the ruin ending. And in that ending we see how the mimic can imitate voices and likes to dress up. All that was just in the games. So for what do we have to read the books? Well, to see that the mimic is definitely not William and how it was created. It not being William still is not communicated very well tbh, that should be made a bit clearer, but stuff like the mimic insisting on being Gregory, even in its jumpscare wouldn't be something William would do. And the creation story of Mimic is not that important to the plot of the game. That is only important to the whole Edwin plotline and how he unleashed this monster on the world. For the games it isn't important to know that. Just like in Candy Cadets story. The monster is just there. For the story being told, it is not important to know where exactly it came from. So those are my thoughts on that. Books are not a required readthrough. They just make it easier and give us insight in whats to come. Good video though. Keep it up

But just for the average player who just wants to know whats going on with the games, it is not a must. Which I am glad for. It would be pretty annoying if the games for exmaple just throw in eleanor, she kills you and thats it. But the Mimic has connections to Glitchtrap and Burntrap which makes it more explained. It’s possible that burntrap was a mimic with Aftons corpse on it and the withering away spring Bonnie suit because if you compare the endoskeleton designs on both of them there are obvious differences or maybe burntrap was really in fact just William Afton fused with the same springlock endoskeleton just with a couple glamrock parts attached to it

A lot of this is good, but some small things I have to say is that I don't know why Gregory would go back to the Pizzaplex after the events of security breach and into "Burntrap's" basement, how he would discover and trap the mimic even with the help of Vanessa, how the blob somehow singlehandedly took down the entire Pizzaplex, made and earthquake, and sinkhole, or how Gregory drew Burntrap sipite him not existing. Burntrap has the same endoskeleton as Springbonnie excluding his hands, and he is wearing a torn apart and rotten Springbonnie suit that we do know for a fact exists, so if he never existed how could Gregory just predict springlock suits, and the existence of William Afton. I'm not saying for sure that the Burntrap ending is canon, but it's odd that these details exist.

My theory is that after Vanessa was freed from being controlled, she and Gregory went to disable the Burntrap endo after the blob destroyed the pizza plex. That's when they discovered the Mimic and they created M.X.E.S. together and poured concrete over the door after luring the Mimic into that room.

Burntrap uses the scrapped HW Springbonnie model, but Mimic is a new type of endo. The only thing that's common about either of them is that they're bad guys and metal

I think the 2nd batch of missing children was the Mimic, copying Afton, that Mimic gets sealed away for 30 years rather than it actually being Afton. Making at least some of the earlier games more allegory, in much the same vein as Candy Cadet's stories. Glitchtrap proceeds as known through VR, and Ruin is Glitchtrap trying to release the Mimic and merge with it to have a body.

Mimic 1.0, the endo that tears off pizza workers arms and heads, and in the game world potentially copies Afton's actions directly. Glitchtrap, a copy of that program put into VR which then copies Vanessa and proba-possibly Gregory and learns their hacking skills as well as doubling-down on 'learning' the missing child incidents. And a separate copy that is heavily modified and built into the Pizzaplex, whatever the in game version of the Tiger Rock/Storyteller Mimic is. My hunch is that third version became the Tangle.

Very interesting video, but something I want to say is that Monty didn't kill Bonnie When Bonnie went missing they gave Monty a claw upgrade so he could play Bonnie's Bass And because Bonnie went missing BEFORE Monty got the claw upgrade it wasn't him It's possible that the mimic killed Bonnie since it has the claws to do so and Bonnie's legs were torn off because that's how the mimic kills it's victims 🦐

The only thing I don't quite get is that the only place we see the Blob is on the way to the burn trap ending. If the burntrap ending isn't the real ending that would lead us to believe the blob isn't real though we see the blob leaving the pizza plex at the beginning of ruin. This franchise is already confusing at times, just seems like something of note.

I can say that some aspects from the other endings were mixed with broad strokes of the Princess Quest ending, the damage done to Glamrock Freddy's body in the normal Vanny ending, the destruction of the Pizzaplex via the Fire and Burntrap endings, and the installation of the M.X.E.S. system via the van. The PatPat's shutdown could be conisdered AI trauma that was imprinted into them by Glamrock Bonnie's deactivation. One theory suggets that Monty was framed by Vanny, considering the broken bowling ball, and use of green spray paint.

None of the fire damage seen in the burntrap ending is present in Ruin. The pizzaplex was destroyed by the blob causing an earthquake

There's no evidence of any fire damage in Ruin. They very deliberately take you through the "Oven" room that was burning down in the Burntrap ending, but there's no signs of fire damage at all. Also Freddy gets torn up in the exact same way in the 'Disassemble Vanny' ending as the Princess Quest ending so that's why the damage is similar. The only difference is they take off Freddy's head.

Really great analysis, Really looking forward to the future of FNAF after this DLC, Help Wanted 2 can't come soon enough which I think will be a prequel, I really hope there will be more DLCs or chapters for Security Breach to continue where that cliffhanger left off and tie up loose ends, I hope we see Cassie and Roxy again and continue on their story because I think they're both still alive, And I hope Glamrock Chica joins us as well since we gave her back her voice box, That can't be for nothing, Chica has to come back in another chapter, Idk I could be wrong but I hope so, As much as I love Roxy and Eclipse's development, I don't think it would be fair if they only did it for them, I think Chica deserves some development too, But again I could be wrong, Only time will tell.

I'm still really confused by the Burntrap=Mimic. Narrative wise this makes the most sense, but that is simply not what we are being shown. The endo in Bruntrap is completely different from the Mimic no amount of "fitting into any costumes" explains this. But then there is the Hand from Afton on the Mimic (what). WHY STEEL WOOL??? This could have been so much clearer.

A weird thing about the Brazil ending is how the line Gregory(?) says "Cassie i found a safe place to hide" is actually a repeated line from ealier in the game by the mimic, cant remember which chapter but i think it was when we meet Roxy. Ok last thing. Monty (perfect boy) is innocent of the charges against him. We know bonnie was killed by someone with claws, but monty only gets his claws after bonnies death in order to have him able to play the bass.

He got a claw upgrade after Bonnie's death, so he still had claws, but he just got them upgraded, and look at the staff bots in the PQ/Kill Vanny ending. They have no claws at all, but are able to destroy Freddy.

It's not Cassie's birthday during the DLC. Eclipse is quoting Frosty the Snowman. Both say "Happy Birthday!" when they come into existence. Roxy just states that it's been a long time since Cassie had her birthday party and asks if she's reserved a party yet.

I’ve been thinking about a sequel for security breach where you would switch between Gregory, Vanessa and Cassie, Vanessa would be in the pizza plex using an illusion disk to get around some of the animatronics and reinstall the M.X.E.S security program, Gregory would be looking for the mimic down in the fnaf 6 location (mabye even having to escape some spring lock animatronics being worn or reactivated by the mimic if the fnaf 6 location really is Fredbears) looking for the mimic and Cassie may have fallen down even further in the elavator and ended up sister location working with Roxy (mabye fighting the tangle of something)

this video honestly inspired me for 2 theories: 1. Cassie's dad: Help Wanted 2 notes that you 'return' to help wanted which, as all of help wanted is an in-universe VR game is a wild premise that gives me a headache, but something to note. People have also pointed out that the Help Wanted 2 elevator has the Faz-wrench puzzles that Cassie's dad worked with and that there is a chance you DO play as him. Whose to say that you didn't already play him in help wanted 1, he gets trapped in VR, and THAT is why Cassie gets to go places unsupervised and talks about her dad in past tense 2. I also saw the theory about that Bonnie was actually taken out of commission because he was the first victim of the Glitchtrap-Mimik virus. We are going back on theme and putting the villain in the bunny. Monty would have possibly noticed and attacked and out-of-programming acting Bonnie by pushing him off the Monty cat-walks with one big strike. Posessed Vanessa is still suspected to be behind a lot of the bad things of SB base game so SHE could have uploaded Glitchtrap/ Mimik VR virus in Bonnie and ran him out for a test drive and Monty who is only ever seen antagonizing Freddy but never bonnie is a hero in shining armour. Vanessa even herself may drag a messed up Bonnie back to Bonnies (oddly off shoot?) quarters because she can program but cannot necessarily engineer a Bonnie better (he is vaguely hurt but out of commission? sus). I just remembered the bowling ball thing maybe Vanessa gave up in the end and ended a still conscious Bonnie asking too many question or pestering herself. My point is that Monty apparently frequently broke his legs falling off the cat walks, Bonnie has broken legs, scratched chest, smashed in bowling ball skull. THE POINT IS that the wet floor signs don't seem to scream, that normal party noise to me? (my friends also mentioned fnaf3 normal kid laugh audio lure), and they lead to Bonnie. WHOM WE CAN FOR SOME REASON KILL. Bonnie is Dad-cass' favorite and he NEVER antagonized us. What benefit is there to kill him? simple: mimik-glitchtrap virus still inside him

Also i find it weird that people keep saying that its Cassie's birthday that day. Broken down, rebooted, messed up animatronics say that but Cassie herself never aknowledges it? in my head 'happy birthday!' is just a go-to line the animatronics say when they have nothing else to go on, it doesn't NEED to be your birthday when you go to the Pizzaplex but it needs to FEEL like it is. Disenypark vocabulary rules also Roxy says that Cassie's birthday is on the 11th, which SOUNDS like a date but a really weird one. I saw people argue that Roxy meant Cassie's 11th birthday or that it is on the 11th month or that she just said the date without the month but honestly i expect better from native english speakers. to me it sounds like it is on the 11th THIS month. Roxy would not need to specify WHICH month because its happening soon (maybe its june because thats when ruin came out). My friend also pointed out that Roxy asked if Cassie had booked her party already which is not something you ask the day off? Idk to me its not Cassie's birthday but it is her borthday soon probably. (given if it was in the recent past Roxy would have asked how her Birthday was. Maybe Steelwhool were orignally aiming for an early June release so that the DLC would take place on the exact date it was released, but it weird now bc it ended up being late june)

In one of the drawings in the inventory cassie says "Gregor must have seen this" but how? ​@@iranfire9355there is no White Tiger or giant tree in the Pizzaplex to be found. The mimic also mostly wears a jester and mushroom costume when it's not trying to be the tiger. It seemingly tries to emulate the look of Gregory with 3 stitched together circus animal costumes which seems oddly specific to lead us to the direction that this is a parallel version and not the 1/1 mimic. Edwin is probably Henry anyways in Ruin and SB and the next few games will hopefully pay off the Elizabeth vs Charlie forshadowing that seems to go on with the mimic's duality in the books. Circus Baby's seems to be under the Fnaf6 location which also confirms Pizzeria Sim's location to be Fredbear's with all the circus animals, the bioluminicent cave that appears in Twisted Ones and the scooping room.

I don't see how making a costume to emulate gregory implies it's a parallel, the mimic is literally doing what it's for, mimicking. edwin's story is very different from the story of both game henry and novel henry, and he has a completely different personality. there isn't any charlieVSelizabeth forshadowing in both games and books, and the mimic never shows some kind of duality in the books, matpat completely made that up, tiger rock's eyes being of different colors don't have a meaning for now. circus baby's being under fnaf 6 is just a fact, it isn't proof for any theory

Calling me brainwashed by the most mainstream theorist when the mimic is primarly known for especially the Jester one that could just have been shown in the backrooms would be enough to confirm them being canon. I have watched every single sort of big theory youtuber and have my very own idea of many things in the canon than a Matpat or John for example but Mat's and John's last theories have a point you cannot dispute and that is the constant hinting at Baby and Nightmarionne and this even stronger in Ruin for Baby now. Tiger Rock's eye colour showed him to have some sort of split personality in the story and why should Baby's rentals be relevant again if it isn't connected to Baby or something related to Afton? Unless Edwin's existence is confirmed it's just not possible to say if the Tales books are real or not. And the fact that they had the perfect oppertunity to give the mimic a costume from the books but decided to use the elphant, lion and bird makes me more likely to believe that this is a timeline with simular events to the books than a 1/1 thing. I do not just take Mat's or John's or Toast's or ID's theories as some kind of truth and question them at a lot of points or come up with my own theories for example the whole Ms. Afton thing from Mat being more so a cut concept that they backtracked on when the story got seemingly changed. The appearance of the novel cave by your and Squawk's logic should be that it confirms the trilogy to be canon instead of it being just a parallel deliberately placed by Steel Wool to hint at the future with the past. Squawks believes that the story is completely seperate from the past and one to one with the books which is just not something i agree with in all of his theories. There is constant hinting and parallelism between other games and the books that surely have some kind of meaning. They didn't just place all the plushies of NM and Baby + all the cables + the Nightmarionne staffbots for no reason there but fan service. The whole item description of the Baby Plush asking what she is doing here is the most direct jab to confirm that atleast something is going on in the Pizza Plex that includes something being represented by a nightmarionne and something represented by Baby and John's Sister Location theory could have actually found the source of this core idea. Let's just wait until Help Wanted 2 and what it has to say before we call each other stupid and brainwashed for having other beliefs okay?

That was exactly my thought about the game and its DLCs, so far we have 2 nights on the Pizzaplex but it still missing more data about the place and my guess is they're going to make 2 nights set on the original place (without renovations) i don't think they'll make the night of the staff meeting (i bet that would be a total nightmare, good scenario a 20/20 mode) and the last night where we'll see the fate of Cassie (let's see if Roxy can handle this)

It's also to be noticed that William story and Mimic story rhyme each other. FNAF4 and FNAF:AR are the games where everything started. FNAF2 and FNAF:HW are the games where a murderer first showed up, MCI done. FNAF1 and FNAF:SB are no longer functional main pizzeria. FNAF3 and FNAF:Ruin are the same main pizzeria got very spooky. FNAF:SL and FNAF:HW2 are the games where Circus Baby's Entertainment and Rental gets focus, things get crazy. And then there's FNAF:PS where everything ended but there's no rhyme of Mimic story yet.

The wet floor bots obviously have the souls of the missing children of the pizzaplex, but as for why they’re with Bonnie, I have an idea; Maybe, just like Freddy, Bonnie was resistant to the bad parts of the Mimic programming for whatever reason. We hear a voice sometimes when deactivating the wet floor bots, which I thought was Freddy but is probably Bonnie, say things encouraging someone to “Run” or “follow me.” This could be Bonnie trying to help the children escape the Mimic. This would explain why Freddy and Bonnie were obviously good friends, since they both share a desire to help the children of the pizzaplex, (apart from them just being the lead characters), and could also be why Bonnie got destroyed. Maybe Bonnie tried to save a kid, got found out, and the mimic punished him by having Monty destroy him. (That was very convoluted so hope my idea came off well in writing!)

Like besides the giant head (and only head) that's on "The Storyteller" Tiger Rock never has a physical suit and the only time a "full suit" of it even appears is in the AR/VR simulation where it's not even real? I think that Candy Cadet story isn’t about Gregory and Vanessa trapping the Mimic, but instead about Help Wanted. Tape Girl is the mother who trapped the monster who is Glitchtrap, and Vanessa is the boy that Tape Girl told her lullaby or her tapes, but Glitchtrap mimicked the tapes and Vanessa let her out of the basement which is the game he’s in.

I doubt that Sb will continue to be a platform to tell us the story to come, this especially with the "carnival" files that encourage us to the next location, especially if HW2 comes and these usually serve as a bridge to show us which is the next location , where I feel Van and Greg will be involved. Regarding Cassie, I think we will know about her in HW2, like newspapers mentioning that they found a body or another narrative form where they will tell us what will become of her, maybe she survived and could be involved in the next game (Carnival)

Hey everyone! This video was great and it answered SO many of my questions, but I just have a few more that I’ll write here, and hopefully I get some input on them 1. Was glitchtrap the mimic the entire time? 2. It seems to be confirmed in ruin that the Princess Quest ending is canon, and in that ending, and even more so shown in ruin, Glitchtrap or the Monster is killed by the princess. If glitchtrap was Afton, is he finally dead? If the code is destroyed and his soul is still in hell, is that it for him? 3. The code in almost all of the game is a purple/pinkish color, which MatPat also pointed out. This seems to point towards glitchtrap or the Mimic1 program still being alive and running. But how is this possible if Cassidy (The Princess in my head) killed the Monster in Princess Quest? 4. Sorry that these questions are a bit all over the place, but glitchtrap being alive or dead or being Afton or not being Afton is really messing with my head

UCN confirmed he survived. And Ruin confirmed he was Burntrap too :V Reminder, everything pre-6AM and *everything* except Burntrap and the events of the ending is confirmed to exist. It's strange as hell for him to just... not exist for SOME bizzare reason, the Mimic/Vanessa definitely didnt pull a Springlock out their ass in 3h on the generous end.

These fan theories are getting crazier and crazier. There was one I came across recently speculated that the entity was actually Bonnie's AI. That had piggy back into the network via Network of the robotic wet floor signs. That after the player deactivates all of them. There was supposed to be another ending, but it was cut. Using the unmarked ending as its basis. Along with the fact that the Bonnie animatronic is fully intact. As proof of thus claim. Steel wool purposely added elements from numerous endings from the main game. Into this DLC, to keep fans guessing out which ending was the Canon one. Probably by the request of Scott himself.
