This film took 5 years to make because every major studio tried to keep it from being released and then CNN said “child trafficking is happening but it’s not as bad Sound of Freedom portrays”. That tells you all you need to know about how important this film is.
@DivingDirt
@DivingDirt Ай бұрын
You couldn’t be more wrong. The film was made in 2018, and was set to be distributed by 20th Century Fox, who would then be bought by Disney. Disney shelved the movie because it didn’t fit with their image. The film was eventually distributed by Angel Studios in 2023, who bought the rights when Disney was purging assets (this film being one of those assets). It had absolutely nothing to do with ‘major studios’ trying to prevent it from being released. And it wasn’t CNN that said that the film made it seem worse than it was, it was certain guests being interviewed.

As someone who did undercover trafficking stings this movie was highly accurate. Not the types of ops we did but very accurate. The Hollywood reaction to the movie was disgusting. This stuff happens WAY MORE than people realize, and due to the negative treatment of police, and reduced staffing levels, hardly any departments even have the resources to work these cases.

That was my thought while watching this movie, that the reason the left hates it seems to be because the right feels strongly about being against human trafficking, and the main argument I saw from people on the left was it was "right wing propaganda" and "stuff like this doesn't happen as often as it portrays" or some shit like that. It is that type of fairytale delusion people have that allows horrors like this to keep happening. Out of sight out of mind instead of facing the problem.

The basic message is Human Trafficking is bad, many people/governments wont do anything, this dude did & the organization, did something. I don't get why you assume you have to disregard your own family to help others. You can do both, especially if your family supports what you do.

It's sad that Hollywood chose to ignore this film. No reviews, No Golden Globes, no Academy Awards, no accolades at all! Barbie & Oppenheimer, really? Sick!

Cause it highlights darkness, which some members of hollywood and the affluent community are involved in

@LegoWarFims Do you mean a film about a true story about a child rescued from an underground sex trafficking system runned by pedophiles? Yeah go Barbie/Oppenheimer 🙄

You guys should react to Avatar because I feel like it is the perfect green beret movie, Jason Sully has to learn Tribe customs, learns their way of life, and leads them in war.

I hated "Terminal List" by the end. Chris Pratt's character was a straight up sociopath.

The movie isn’t my thing, that’s why i did not watch it and will not watch it, but it did not deserve the kind of backlash it was subjected to by Hollywood and it deserved to be released like any other movie, if people don’t want to watch it, then they shouldn’t watch it.
