Seeing a couple melee weapons get covered got me to start over again (I was replaying a shotgun/explosive guy). Still remember where Chance's Knife was, and it does yield good results, but a shocking early option I'm still using is the Lead Pipe. It's been putting in a lot of good damage (giant radscorpions near Nipton and the robots at H&H/Sunset Sasparilla to name a couple spots), it's overhead smash is hilariously fun to use, it's fairly light, and it's SUPER cheap to repair (and easy to find more from Freeside thugs or Raiders). But I'm rolling through Old World Blues now....pray for me and the 9,000 Nightstalkers I'm going to have to bludgeon to death. Edit: Scratch that. I just got Purifier.

have you played yet/returned to the Mojave? I did the same about to finish the lonesome road dlc (did honest hearts, dead money, old world blues lol) discovered all the map locations in the Mojave XD.. I always run a guns/melee/unnarmed/repair (90 for Jury rigging)/barter (70 just for pack rat on hardcore for ammo) build its so good and clears through very hard/hardcore mode easy. The cool thing with melee hybrid you can change it out for energy weapons/even explosives as your other offense outside melee and is just as fun/effective :)

I’m anonymous on this game but I love it so much; I had a project in mind, w the correct modding. Proper streaming FNV:Andrew Tate. Have to be creative w it Love jury rigging and my usual playthroughs I just horde every type, of the strongest lol

If you take Honest Hearts early and just grab jury rigging, you'll be able to go hatchet your whole adventure just fine Can even repair them with all the tomahawks you find

The "design" on Figaro is likely supposed to represent the blade being made from pattern welded, aka Damascus, steel. Steels of different alloy content are layered, forged together, twisted in various ways, and then hammered into a blade. Once the blade is forged and sharpened, it's submerged in acid for a specific amount of time. The acid brings out the patterns made from the different types of steel because some types come out very bright and white, while others are a rich dark gray. It's a gorgeous metalworking technique and fitting for a Barber of Seville easter egg. Damascus being a major metalworking city for a few Muslim empires and the Moors ruling Spain (where Seville is) for a very long time. Damascene, the process of layering firearms in intricate gold leaf designs, is a master craft in Spain and takes its name from the metalworks from Damascus.

I always run a guns/melee-unarmed or energy weapons/melee-unarmed hybrid builds lol I love melee in NV its so fun and the weapons are so cool :D.. ive even ran a explosives/melee-unarmed and was a blast.. its kinda the "best" of both worlds put some damage in with a 308 round sniper from afar like the gobi, or even use pistols for far/medium range like "that gun", once enemies get close just bully them with melee/unarmed or even utilize the hunting shotgun

The Katana is mid at best. But I use it when I get to a high level in a melee character because it looks cool and one hitting everything gets boring after a while.
