Add lotion. Also putting small pieces iin a bag with a small amount of water, with a pump of lotion has revived some pretty dried out clay for me.

Rose, this was an excellent idea! Everything is so darn cute! I absolutely can not stand air dry foam clay for myself. It's so hard to work with. But that just shows how excellent you are with clay! Great job! I love the sea creatures and the bugs the best. I'm fascinated with both in real life.

Im so happy i found your channel, ive been binging all of your videos! Theres honestly not a single little guy in this craft that i dont like, except i will say the caterpillar looks weirdly sad/concerned lol I do really enjoy the ladybugs, though i do get what you mean by kindergarten craft vibes. I have this type of foam clay and attempted to make something two days ago. You make it look easy. Mine looked like butt. Full of lines where it was put together while kneading. I made a couple sea creatures. I smashed them the next morning so my 7 and 9 year old wouldn't make fun of me 😂

I saw a craft kit that was a wind-up toy's insides and air-dry clay: you sculpted your own design around it and the wind-up mechanism would make it wheel/walk. Foam clay would probably be lighter, and you could pop the decorative parts off any cheap wind-up toy to make your own beast.
