If you cut open a piece of bungee cord, you'll find miles of black and white rubber for legs. It doesn't get any cheaper.:-)

Welcome! It is a pattern you should always have a few of when fishing warm waters. I carry them in black, yellow, red, and purple. I have found that even Smallmouth that have been heavily fished will hit a yellow spider!

Good video. Thanks for sharing. Tip...if you have the vice jaws like yours that are rounded you can place the hook point just in the jaws so that you can slide the thread easier around without snagging the point.

True, but putting the point of the hook in the jaws can also weaken the hook at the barb, and even break off the point.

Never had an issue as I put the largest part of hook turn in vice and with point of hook hidden in jaws and never touch the hook point. You can play around until you find it. I did.

Don't let that foam-spider fool yah. I tied one entirely out of foam and I landed steelhead.
