Fly Tying - S. S. Panfish Killer Spider

This video will show you how to tie a deadly spider fly for panfish, especially finicky ones that ignore top-water flies such as poppers.

Years ago i tied up a bunch of Skip Morris Flies called the Predator, for a fellow down your way. I just thought they would make a nice pattern for panfish and they did ! They zeroed in on it and he landed what he called nuclear Blues. Your pattern is very similar! Great job!!

very nice, thank you. I like to take my hackle pliers and hook them to the front legs and pull them to the back to make it easier to finish up the head and wraps.

Nice! I like to tie this pattern with a straight eye hook.

You can but you just have to stop the foam short of the eye. The bent eye is perfect for a spider.
