Jacky and shadow are sweethearts. They love working together to make their love nest perfect for their eggs. It just warms my heart to see them, fixing up their nest with all these funky looking sticks. Just love them.

J&S love their wonky sticks! It's amazing how Shadow finds a perfect spot for those sticks. Jackie seems to be a perfectionist as to where the sticks go. Happy Beaketh New Year Jackie and Shadow! May 2024 bring egg's and eaglets hatching.

Jackie sure had a time with that really wonky stick but finally found a good resting place for it. I thought it was good that Shadow wasn't there or they would have been fighting over it. On the other hand, that would have been fun to watch. Thanks for the video, Cali, we appreciate it as always. Happy New Year everyone, we are hoping for good things in 2024.

With all the sticks they've been gathering over time that nest has got to be very heavy. Hope those branch's are strong and don't break as happened last season to our Minnesota nesting pair.

damama4209-This J Pine tree is very strong---all the way to the top. J&S were perched side by side on the end of the Simba LImb ,early on. That's J(14lbs)+S(10+lbs= 24lbs ) sitting side by side on a thin outboard branch. One can see the 'Spring' it still has as they take up Positions on it over time.

Lisa: You Me and many , many others share that. Today was (for me) the J show although Cali divided J&S time almost equally. J tried a S stunt today--bringing in a long branch up & over the Simba LImb. But she hit it dead square and had to drop that talon side (Clutching branch in other) and braced for Nest landing on that free leg. and the branch in other. Imagine a 'Birdbrain' making that adjustment in about .2/sec. and landing safely in nest. I Favor Shadow because he goes out of his way too challenge his ability to use his flying abilities in different ways. But J doesn't come up short in the ability to fly in the same Sky with S .I'm Glad they do it in different ways--keeping all of us entertained. Fobby--overjoyed with the Super Sensitive Mic and the value it adds to these Videos--love those Clunk-crunch Nest landings(and other enhanced effects).

When Jackie stepped out to the front porch she dislodged a couple sticks that fell from the nest and one popped up and I thought it was going to hit here in the back. She did take a look to see what the noise was.

Shadow waits for Jackie, Jackie moves and snips different sticks and Shadow adds his own touches afterwards. Jackie stays to get the last day of the day about stick placement. 😊 Such an interesting couple.

They’ll probably wait until closer to egg laying for more fluff. Cali pointed out recently that the years they’ve fledged chicks were years that less fluff was brought in before eggs were laid. Don’t worry. These two are great parents. TTE.
