I think overall the Focals are a little better everywhere except bass, however for the price I think I would go Presonus, where I live the Focal is 50% again more expensive.

Good demo. The slightly lifted mids and smooth but detailed treble is what makes the Alpha 65 such a superb mixing monitor.

With slight difference on mids & lows but a huge difference on the price. I'll go for Presonus where you can tweak the 50% price difference of Focal at the back of Eris XT nobs.

on one hand, focals are more acurate but kind of expensive. On the other hand, presonus are cheaper but, for sure, you can get good mixes out of them. plus, you can tweak the presonus to your liking with the controls on the back.

@@luckyluciano7601 Not sure bro. I've never used Yamaha monitors. I've heard Yamaha monitors tend to be light on the bass, and I wanted something more bass heavy to avoid having to use a sub.

@@luckyluciano7601 I had the hs8's and now using eris e8xt. Yamahas lack that kick thump. It has a dip near the 100hz (pls check with graph) e8 xtended are the best ones. Much more detailed. Moreover hs8's caused me ear fatigue thats why i changed them.

@@luckyluciano7601 Go blindly with e8xt more value for money.. prior to hs8 i used to have e5 old model i loved them a lot but had to upgrade to 8 inchers as my new setup was a big room. Also, the hs8 and presonus fall in the same range but i felt it was an upgrade hahah😃.. presonus are way better for serious mixing stuff and long hours..

Focal's are more subdued, but totally balanced; PreSonus's sound almost identical, but have more weight, generally, with a forward presence in the mids. Mix on PreSonus & Master on Focal; that's my story & I'm sticking to it.

focal sound a bit compressed and forward in the mids to my ears. imo the presonus sounds better but id tone down the bass and the maybe treble as well

How come you don't do a Presonus Eris E5XT vs Kali Audio LP6 comparison?? They're both the same price and they're direct competitors. Plus, i've seen TONS of requests for that comparison for the last year or more lol Please please please do that comparison!! It would benefit so many people

for me no doubt here, the Focal sounds more complete with nice mids ... the alpha 50 sounds good too ? maybe I wanna try alpha 50 at home because the alpha 65 are too big for my room. Can you tell me if the sound is flat and good like the alpha 65 ? thank you.

Brilliant channel! Have ordered the Focals as I sourced a deal on them. Considered the Presonus but listening here the bottom end seems way overpowering particularly Metal head compared to the source track.. The Focals sound more controlled.

Don't know about Focal Alpha, but PreSonus E7 XT i heard in real and they are excellent. Listening on KZbin does'nt even come close to convey the richness of the sound.

It’s hard. The e7 has fuller sound but the high mids / treble sounds clearer on the Focals. But the focals also have this slightly boxy nasal character to the midrange, on this recording at least.

The alpha 65 are amazing for the price, and definitely the best of the alpha line. They sound so good that is even scary to mix on them, because all sounds so good

@@rsvp9816 finally i went with the alpha 50, due to space, and I absolutely love them. They sound great and clean, have good bass for a 5” and all my mixes translate excellent to other systems

It seems the Focal toe in more than the Presonus. This will greatly effect the imaging.

Sorry guys but Focal is everything better. How you can tell there is less bass with focal ? They go lower in frequencies. And presonus is like adam audio, too much airy sound. Hope i will see genelec and nemann versus focal. in a video compared to focal, only iloud MTM impressed me. But focal still better.

I agree Focal is better, more velocity and clarity compared to PreSonus, but I have to admit that for the price the PreSonus are also a good choice.

@@truth-uncensored2426 no. presonus is knew for bad quality. A lot of their monitors stop working after 2 or 3 years. I will never advice presonus.
