I own the Focal Arche - and I found your review to be very thorough and well-done. I TOTALLY agree with your observation about Focal's "design" of the four metal footings and the rubber "feet" which are supposed to be mounted under them. It's an APPALLINGLY BAD design flaw in an otherwise beautifully-made piece of headphone electronics! I damaged the top surface of another piece of electronics gear that I set the Arche on top of - its sharply-pointed metal feet deeply gouged and scratched it. I think that Focal wants us to glue the rubber feet to the metal feet, using something like "Crazy Glue," or they expect us to simply place the rubber feet UNDER the metal ones. I tried to do that and it is very hard to get them in position and make them stay in place. SOMEONE really "dropped the ball" on that one design feature! My solution to the sharply-pointed-metal-foot problem: I used a box-cutter knife to cut out a rectangular piece of thick cardboard, big enough to put the Focal Arche on top of, from a heavy corrugated cardboard shipping carton. The Focal Arche's sharp metal feet dig into the cardboard, NOT into the component it's placed on! Thank you for your review - you put serious effort into it. Although I live in the U.S., and did not have to pay the extra you in the U.K. had to, I'm very glad that Focal listened to your very correct argument about the major price difference and are doing something about it. It's encouraging to know there are some companies that do listen to their customers and make the effort to correct things that need correcting. Gives me an added good feeling about the integrity of Focal and the value of their products.

I think if Focal has to solve this issue it’s going to cost them nothing more than £5 or $7 for a unit worth of £2499 .. if you notice on my few other videos I use a notebook underneath..just to prevent scratches on my desk. My first video of yours & I subscribed. Thanks for the review, & now onto helping you out. I’m sure you noticed the boomy voice when you edited this video. Here are some things that can help out that won’t cost much if at all... put a blanket on the floor & one over your door, this will help dampen the noise & make for a better sounding experience for you while editing & for us when listening. Second, I don’t know where your mic is, but don’t be afraid to let your mic get in the shot, the closer the better usually, though if you get it too close you may need a pop filter. Along those lines, a dead cat might be in order as well if your not using one already, usually they are used for outdoors, but in this boomy room a dead cat might help as well, that is if you can stand the smell! As your country is separate from the eurozone, and choose Brexit, the import/ export are submit to differents taxes decided by british governement, and Eurozone. And this concerned the export from UK. No discrimination here, just usual buisiness. between countries.

Europe has similar price to U.K. and also brexit is going to deliver on 31/12/2020 before that tax are same , USA is still cheaper at few gears including iPhone 📱 ..on the other hand Chord , Arcam , Audiolab, Rega, Cambridge Audio all well respected Brit brands are cheap here in the U.K.
