Thanks, Kieran - the brand are ‘Focal’ they create car specific kits. I created the video to accompany the advert to sell the kit when I took it out to sell the car. No interest in getting more subscribers - but thanks anyway

I confirm that this way water will enter you ... I have put some IFBMW-C and I am having a lot of problems due to water entering through the speaker ... there is no way to isolate it

I can't remember, Dude - but be careful, as not enough and you'll end up with the window hitting the speakers, its very tight in there.What you might want to do is stick a little bit of felt to the back of the speakers for security.From memory - at least 3-4 ....Good luck - its worth the effort.

@@JIMMYHIBBS1 yeah I read it somewhere that it can scratch the glass, I'll be very careful and I'll try to roll it up-down before closing back the door panel. Anyway your video convinced me to make the upgrade, I've also bought the oem tweeter housing to make the upgrade look perfect

100%. Makes the world of difference. Crazy BMW didn't fit tweeters as standard, even the very basic Vauxhall's have tweeters in them

No the back ones are tricky, and once the front are sorted, they'll not bother you

Did you originally have no a pillar speakers and then did the Alpine upgrade, and then later this focal one?

Michael Hello!! Originally I didn’t have any pillar speakers in it, and I upgraded to the Focal units - i bought new window surrounds from BMW, and they happened to be badged Alpine, but I used them just for ease (and they looked really good) - the sound quality with the Focal kit is night and day better

James, hi and thank you for the reply. That's what i have - no speakers on the A pillar. So effectively i could now have A pillar speakers and better sounding other ones too. The standard speakers are rubbish. Thanks for the perspective of night and day.

Ahhhh internal door/window trims… from the days before premium auto makers realised they could save a few quid because nobody seemingly gives a shit you can see the paint colour inside the car.
