THIS IS WONDERFUL. Before covid i had an honors average because of a similar planning, but since covid stuck, and uni went online, I lost both motivation and the habit of serious study. Gonna give it a shot now again for my masters in Social Data Science. Recent Pol Sci and PA graduate here 😄Just a tip, for the first block, I suggest (since science proved that we can only deeply focus for 45/50 continued minutes) that for a task, use a couple of minutes to refresh your mind, recapitulating about what you have done until now. Let's say you are studying coding, then use 2 mins or so to think about what you wrote and what is next. Then proceed with it, in this way your mind rests without loosing focus on the topic you are treating. Also, for any uni student, another tip would be to divide your day in 2 working blocks and a half on a daily basis, since social life is important. After uni block (do some stuff from any class you had that day, since you will have it recent). Afte this first working slot, rest and in the second block, study something that motivates you that is not related to something covered in your degree, ie: online courses about any topic, etc. or if you have a busy week due to uni projects, use this to end it, adapt this as you prefer considering context. Finally, the "half" block, definitely use this to allocate some time into learning something that will trully improve your career future, learning a language. No matter which 1 you learn, it is proved that by employing 1 hour daily learning a specific language, you significantly shorten the amount of time to become proficient on it. Having 3 languages gives you a strategic advantage when looking for jobs when compared to others since you will have more places to look for and big corporations will like it. Good examples of such languages would be either english or spanish. If you already have 2 "european" languages, consider exploring an asian 1 to potentially excel any other candidate that may have a third language but restricted to only europeans. PS: do not never ever consider CHINESE, takes around 10 years to master (B2/C1 level), I would recommend going for either Korean, Vietnamese or Japanese. Thanks for reaching this point and gl with your career.

I often feel the afternoon slump, but my solution for it is taking a bath. It refreshes my mind as if I woke up from sleep

This video is packed with awesome insights for productivity. I especially liked how you implement deep focus, by avoiding distraction. It reasonates to Thomas Edison's idea on Menlo Park and guarantees productivity

Glad it was helpful! I've never heard of that Edison concept but definitely want to look into it now!

I haven't used a daily planner since I was a teenager. Maybe I'll give it another shot, as I never heard of this Zeigarnik effect before.

I would never believe this "9 hour hard work, 100% focus " phrase coming from a youtuber. Imagine Kobe Bryant making youtube videos talking about why he was able to train like a madman. He didn't, he simply worked his ass off and didn't had to tell anyone about this, because this obsession and focus was reflected in the court when he transformed into the Black Mamba.

Good afternoon, Nash. Im from EU and have a bachellor in philosophy. Also i haver recieved an unconditional offer for studying Data Science in the university of Liverpool. Im thinking about it because the cost of the master. (25k for EU). Do you think it justifies the price and will i recieve a good formation? By the way, great videos, and thank you for your time.
@datanash820011 ай бұрын
Hey Vic, that depends! Do you definitely want to study in the UK for any particular reason? Do you specifically only want Liverpool or do you have any other offers? In terms of information my degree was excellent. I literally use so many of the concepts taugh in uni everyday at work.
