Focus is launching the new Izalco Max 9.0 with the Silver & Dark Silver color gradient to match the new SRAM RED 2024 groupset. The Focus Izalco Max can already look back on a long racing history. The latest development stage is intended to offer a perfect composition of aerodynamics, stiffness and weight. The bike will be available in limited quantities from winter 2024.

We received one of the first models in advance and had the opportunity to install the new 2024 SRAM RED AXS 2x12S groupset. With the lightweight and elegantly painted frame, the result is a real gem. In the video and in the table below are the weights of the frame and the installed components as well as the new SRAM RED groupset. Have fun with the video. Das Rad wird ab Winter 2024 in limitierter Stückzahl verfügbar sein.

Wir bekamen bereits vorab eines der ersten Modelle und hatten die Möglichkeit die neue 2024er SRAM RED AXS 2x12S Gruppe zu verbauen. Mit dem leichten und edel lackierten Rahmen entstand so ein wahres Schmuckstück. Im Video sowie in der Tabelle unten sind die Gewichte, zum Rahmen und den verbauten Komponenten sowie der neuen SRAM RED Gruppe. Viele Spaß mit dem Video. Nice bike. What does the shrink wrap on the handlebar do? Is it some new trickery from Focus or just trying something out?

I could be wrong, but I don't think hookless wheels take inner tubes. Thought they were only to be set up tubeless??

I think they do, it all depends on the correct combination of wheels and tires.

Having a tube doesn’t affect things one way or another. The most important element is if the tire manufacturer approves a particular tire for hookless use.
