Hot Fuzz | Simon Pegg Chases Down a Shoplifter

Being a new police officer in town, Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg) is getting frustrated with the mundanity in the city, so when he sees someone shoplifting in the local grocery store he goes all out to catch the suspect.

I've heard he was actually just supposed to struggle to climb the fences and that would be the gag, but the actor tripped, and fell through the fence for real, and they just kept it.

At 7:28 you can see the shaun of the dead dvd in the basket but it's changed to say zombies party. And Simon peggs face is covered in the dvd which is clever. Quite a funny easter egg

Been on holiday in UK this year, and went the city were they recorded the movie, Wells in Somerset. Fun to see multiple recognizable locations from the city center (even the Greggs shop, which is still in the same location haha)
