This is one of the most powerful and amazing messages I’ve ever heard! Wow. I’m amazed by Josh and Katie’s honest vulnerability and openness to share so much of their story from the hopeful to the hard. Amazing!!

A flawless marriage or relationship doesn't exist. There's no universal recipe for success in these matters. What suits Adam may not suit Peter. Nonetheless, I discovered that every problem has a solution. Five years ago, my wife and I faced the possibility of divorce due to marital challenges, but we reconciled

Your insights resonate deeply with me, and I sincerely wish my sentiments mirror yours. Despite our present distance, I cannot envision my existence without her; my affection for her knows no bounds. I ache to reunite with her, and I'm prepared to go to great lengths to achieve that. We've delved into numerous paths, including therapy, in our quest for reconciliation

Saying goodbye to someone you cherish is consistently difficult, yet in my case, I received support from a spiritual advisor who kept my marriage intact. Her name is Suzanne Ann Walters.

I'm struggling with the feeling that she doesn't seem remorseful. It feels like she cheated, and her husband had to convince her to stay. I feel like if I were in his position the resentment would eat me alive.

I admired couples who stayed together after an infidelity because of forgiveness and restoration but it feels to me that she has joy for sharing that she was unfaithful to her husband

I can’t get behind on the cheated spouse blaming himself for this? Absolutely nothing justifies cheating.

He acknowledges there's no excuse for cheating. However, if you want your marriage to thrive, you must both take responsibility for your actions that led to the climate of your marriage prior to an affair happening. It's called grace and accountability. I had to do the same.

I'd like to know what lead up to her looking for or falling into emotional support outside of her marriage. Because, I know for myself. Whenever I try having any kind of conversation with my husband of 37 yr. He always acts like I'm bothering him. So, just wondering what their communication was like before that happened.

Help me- this was an emotional affair over a few months, right? Never was an actual physical betrayal? Not that such a thing is without consequence, but it's certainly a lesser issue than what many are forced to face. She dodged the question in the first session and it matters. I'm left to wonder how those who deal with worse circumstances and unrepentant spouses were affected by this discussion and her suggestion that grace is needed for the offending spouse.

I love this ministry but honestly this is not what people are going through. "Emotional betrayal"- what do you mean? For 5 months you had "feelings" for this other guy but never met, hugged, kissed and no sex? Is this what you're trying to say? I presume that people who are going through horrible cheating wouldn't be able to forgive and reconcile and please @focusonthefamily let's not see reconciliation as the only way that honours God! Why not have a podcast on how to start life with God and kids all over again after betrayal? This is probably very relevant for many.

To forgive, and desire reconciliation with an unfaithful spouse is to imitate Christ. And yet that takes two people and doesn't always happen in a broken world. But it should always be our default position.

He was doing the "pick me" dance, which is the worst thing you can do. It makes you look weak and desperate. Stiffen your backbone and do the 180 for your own healing. See a divorce attorney and expose to family and trusted friends. That will pop the fantasy bubble in a hurry.

So much feminism and Americanism infiltrated in Christianity, it’s so hard to listen to second part also. The message for men in the Father’s Day “be better, do better” and the message for women in the Mother’s Day “you are awesome, you are perfect just as you are, forgiven, great”. Why are not the women held to as high moral standards and challenges to godly character as men in America? Women comfortably treated like fragile children, who are not fully responsible for their wrongdoing. She sounds like she shares blame with him, when she chose betrayal. She talks too much, can’t bear it. He sounds so beaten up, trying to still win her, and please her. Something is off.

I connected with that piece, I thought immediately of a date my husband and I took a month after discovery. He took a selfie of us, and the sincere love and happiness on our faces was a visual lifeline for me. That was a marker. After hearing this I thought of printing it as a marker for us Different perspective 😊
