In today’s world, there are lots of reasons for parents to be fearful about their children’s future, and many families are still dealing with the aftermath of the COVID pandemic. But Katharine Hill wants to give these moms and dads hope - and encourage them to be a powerful influence of emotional stability and resilience in their lives of their kids. She describes the brain science associated with positive vs. negative thinking. She also encourages parents to beware the pressure of pushing children to success in academics and athletics. Katharine concluded with a reminder that parents are responsible as the “keeper of the atmosphere” in the home. Nurturing, faith-filled families are more likely to have children who grow up to be healthy, happy and faith-filled adults.

I think it’s important to teach your children skills. Like sewing, cooking, canning food, gardening. These simple life long survival skills can be past down for generations. And helps to start family traditions like making a family quilt. Or great grandmas special apple sauce. How about growing rows of corn every year to make fall decoration. This is the problem with the digital age. We all have become so separate online. Spend time with your children. One of my greatest memories was learning how to sew. And now if I’m stressed I’ll find a sock with a whole in it or something that needs mended and take it out on the sock. Until it’s fixed. 😂 Just learn a skill and spend time with your children. This will help curb the depression. And the fruits of your labor will be success. ❤

One thing no one stated here is that we can check all of the boxes as parents, but the issues with our children come when their friends state your parents' care and love you too much. That's what truly turned our lives into chaos for 11 years. Because these other kids didn't have what my child had. They told her your mother is to clean your room, and clean up after you, because she gave birth to you. My child always wanted to go to college, and friends told her you don't need to go. So she took almost a year off, then went to college. Also she was told that if your parents love you, they will just pay for everything you want or need. And it's OK to not come home until 12am at 12 years of age, and it's OK to date a 21 year old adult online because it's not in person. Even one friend called me and said their coming to my house to beat me up, and called me a B because I said they're not allowed to be friends, becauseshe was in love with my daughter. Now my daughter is 22, and is allowing herself this time to be controlled by a 25 year old who's not a believer, and has groomed and chased her for 3 years. He lives with his mom, making about $11 an hour, always broke, because he spends money on parties and marijuana. His mother is perfectly fine with this, she gives him whatever he wants. He came to my house last week, with a playboy hoodie on, with a woman bending over ready for sex. He wore that hoodie in front of me, her (my 22yr old), my 12 yr old daughter and my 10 yr old son. My husband was at work at this time. But this is the person (that weekend) she choose over us, her family. We've been giving, teaching, talking, and paying for her needs and some of her wants. We told her we can't go through this anymore, your friends are disrespectful towards us and you need to go your own way. She was angry with us for not paying 12k to her college, there was a scholarship she was to apply for but she said she didn't feel like it. Her school said because she was a good student with good grades, and was on the deans list she'd get the money with no problem. But she came to us, and basically said just pay it for me. We told her your 22 an adult, you need to go live your own life. We realized her and this guy was serious and more important than her own self. 😢 she asked can you guys still help with advice or something, I said the only advice I have is to seek God, make him #1. She hasn't contacted us at all, except to get into our Amazon account. Haven't even contacted her siblings. 😢who's extremely hurt. So please understand the outside influences are stronger sometimes than what the parents. I'm just praying that she'll give her all to the Lord one day soon, before it's too late. I've sent tons of Christian books, a new Bible, I send videos from KZbin everyday. And no response, because we took her access way from our accounts with our credit cards and such. That's why I say the world is stronger than the parents, but i know not stronger than God. All I can do is pray for her at this point. I pray for the family's going through struggles, it's hard but the Lord has a plan. Don't give in to your children if they're like this, let go and let God, pray always. 😢❤

It was the restrictions placed upon us and the campaigns of fear which surrounded the virus that took its toll, not the virus itself. It's important to differentiate.

Wish the camera wasn’t bopping around so much 😂 It makes it hard for me to listen to the message. It’s like someone forgot and left it on auto pilot for multiple cameras. 😂
