why is my interface not picking up my mic even though its connected with phantom power? I have tried everything. I can't hear anything with phantom power or in ableton.

If possible, can you try replacing your XLR cable to see if that's the issue? Second, please make sure you've followed the steps in this article to set up an audio track in Ableton: support.focusrite.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360001645340-Setting-up-a-recording-channel-in-Ableton If you try these steps and still experience issues, please reach out to our support team at the link below for further assistance: bit.ly/FocusriteSupport

I have an XLR cable but it doesn't fit into either the 1st or 2nd input. What's the reason? Help me please
@FocusriteHelp15 күн бұрын
Are you sure you are using an XLR connection? The inputs on Scarlett are designed to fit all standard XLR cable connections. If you need help determining what cable you have, or what cable you need our team would be happy to assist you here: support.focusrite.com/hc/en-gb/requests/new

@FocusriteHelp Yes, I'm sure it was an XLR cable. It took a little force and I plugged it in. Thank you 🙏

The microphone tip of the bundle is too small for my mic stand, what size is it? My microphone stand has a 5/8" tip, which adapter should I choose?
@FocusriteHelp11 ай бұрын
The CM25 MkIII condenser microphone should fit on most stands that are available. It comes with a 5/8" mic clip with 3/8" thread adaptor included.

una consulta ¿que pasa si tengo un dinamico y un condesador conectados al mismo tiempo el phantom solo se aplicara al mic condensandor??
@FocusriteHelp Жыл бұрын
(Traducido usando Google Translate)

I have a pair of MOVO Shotgun 3.5mm TRRS/TRS jacks. I also have 2 other 3.5 TRS shotgun mics. Using 3.5 to XLR adaptors, will these 3.5 TRS microphones work? These are passive and do not have their own power.
@FocusriteHelp2 ай бұрын
We cannot guarantee this will work. Scarlett interfaces are designed to be used with XLR microphones, and while these mics may work with an adapter, we cannot guarantee compatibility or full quality audio.

Hi, i need to connect 2 condenser microphones to my scarlett 3rd gen, can i do it, or the phantom power can power only one microphone?
@FocusriteHelp5 ай бұрын
This is possible! +48v will send phantom power to both mic inputs on a 2i2 or 4i4

I just got my mic and the scarlett 2i2, my mic is a dynamic mic, but after plugging it to the scarlett it won't light up, why?

Is your microphone connected to Scarlett via XLR? Have you tried alternative XLR cables? If you increase the gain and speak into the mic, does the gain halo light up?

I have two mics to connect at the same time to my scarlett 2i2, but one is a condenser mic and the other is dynamic... How can I set phantom power to only one channel in order to not destroy my dynamic mic?
@FocusriteHelp8 ай бұрын
On Scarlett 2i2 4th generation, when phantom power is enabled, it will be sent to both inputs. However, phantom power will not cause any harm to dynamic microphones, only ribbon microphones. So you can connect both without worry! Please let us know if this makes sense or if we can answer additional questions.

@@FocusriteHelp My Scarlett is 2i2 3rd gen, so you’re basically saying that I can insert dynamic mic first, then the condenser and then I can click for the phantom power? Thank you by the way for giving me answers
@FocusriteHelp8 ай бұрын
Happy we could assist. Phantom power will not damage your dynamic microphone, so you can connect it, and enable/disable phantom power without worry. As for the condenser microphone, you typically only want to enable/disable phantom power when the microphone is connected via XLR and the interface is powered on. If you connect via XLR to an already phantom power enabled input, or disconnect the microphone while phantom is on, you run the risk of damaging your condenser.

Are you connecting your microphone to Scarlett using an XLR cable? Does the Gain Halo illuminate when you speak into the microphone?

Unfortunately no, Scarlett audio interfaces are only compatible with USB microphones. For your USB microphone, no interface is needed, and you can connect your mic straight to your computer via the USB connection. Let us know if this helps, or if we can answer additional questions.

@@FocusriteHelpif you choose to connect a USB microphone straight to the computer and bypass the audio interface... Will it create delay/ latency in sound from the audio interface? Also, is there an advantage/disadvantage in doing it one way as opposed to the other?

48v button on off button not working
@FocusriteHelp10 ай бұрын
Hi, we're sorry to hear you are having trouble: -Do you have a microphone connected via XLR to the selected input? phantom power will not work with 1/4 inch input.? -Are you working with a computer or an iOS device? Some devices need additional power to enable +48v, this can be done via a powered USB hub. -If none of these apply, please reach out to our support team for further assistance. The Scarlett 2i2 in this video is the 4th generation 2i2. Previous generations feature combo XLR ports on the front of the device, as opposed to the two separated. Please let us know if this helps, or if we can answer additional questions.
