Simple sugars are easily absorbed by the body (over 98 percent) and don't contribute to IBS. I had severe IBS-C for the past decade, tried keto, and it really did nothing but mask underlying dysbiosis. The only thing that worked was eating more soluble fiber (oats, barley, and bananas), and getting the right probiotics (soil based organisms).

A great success story for me happened about a year ago when I was experiencing constant heartburn with abdominal and mid-back pain. I watched one of your videos mentioning ox bile salts so I gave it a try. I did not expect that within a week, no more heartburn but much to my pleasant surprise, I was cured. After years of dealing with repeated heartburn, I have not had a single episode since adding bile salts to my diet. And, I almost took the advice of my GI doc and a general surgeon to remove my gall bladder. Thankfully, your video enlightened me to avoid this extremely invasive and unnecessary procedure. Many thanks Dr. Berg, your unselfish commitment to helping people live healthier and happier lives is phenomenal and I am so grateful:)

At 29 years old I was forced out of work due to chronic puking (everyday) as a mechanic in 2019 due to sudden flair of ankylosing spondylitis, fibromyalgia and IBD. Dr berg thank you, you have saved my life. I have been back to work and doing the things I love again for the past three years. Found out my vitamin D was at 18. I refused all medication from doctors and found and followed Dr. Berg, so glad I didn’t take the Humira they wanted me on. Nothing makes me feel better than carnivore diet, high levels of vitamin D, turmeric, ginger, and fasting. Thank you so much for what you’ve done for me and my family Dr Berg! I started doing the low FODMAP a couple months ago. I use FODMAP apps when I go shopping to make sure I buy low FODMAP foods. However, sauerkraut, which you recommended is considered high FODMAP but sauerkraut helps with the diarrhea which is my worst and most embarrassing symptom. I do not get much bloating but that could be because I do not overeat and I'm not overweight. Low FODMAP is definitely more helpful than the classical recommendation of BRAT. I'm definitely eating more meat in my diet and sadly, less fruit. I love grapes but they do not love me. Interestingly, low FODMAP lists grapes as low. People who go on FODMAP should definitely keep a daily food diary so they can figure out what works, and what doesn't. My IBS bouts are definitely linked to stress and emotional distress as well as microbiome being out of whack.

Thank you so much doctor, this is exactly the information I needed. I live in Peru, and most of the easily available food here is pure junk or fried stuff and flour, and while I've been trying to avoid a bad diet, these horrid pandemic restrictions have forced me to consume what I wouldn't before. My gut has swollen, and my bathroom trips have become longer and sometimes nightmarish ordeals, and I've been trying to fix it with more "organic" snacks that contain lots of grains/cereals and fibers, but to no avail. I'm not one to eat meat regularly (no pork though, I never touch that stuff), but I'll try your carnivore diet and see if it can fix this Chaos affliction that is my gut.
@richardkalmwater59963 жыл бұрын
Ever heard of H. Pylori? It is a bacteria that hinders stomach acid. This causes a domino effect that leads to less bile cleaning the small intestine. Then bad bacteria migrates to small intestine and it feasts off fiber causing a lot of bloating in the small intestine....leading to food allergies. Get a tape measure and record the size of your gut through out the day. You may see a pattern. You got to be your own hero...
@donnaml87763 жыл бұрын
I have gone through some things similar, although not for the same reasons and I found when I stopped all grain/cereals and eat once to twice a day it’s become so much easier on my gut. I don’t eat pork either. I do eat meat, fish, eggs and vegetables. I found that if I steam my veggies it’s easier for me to digest them. So I eat some cooked some raw, but for now yeah it’s probable better if you skip the veggies. Also I make sure I go for a daily walk the movement is very important for your body. I was riding my bike but it’s getting cooler out now and so I’ve cut back on that. Anyway, I wish you the best.

Thank you for your replies, and I'll put into practice your recommendations as well as those in the video. Steps to heal IBS (Note- While doing these, if you have bad period of irritation do intermittent fasting for not more than 2 days, only have your first meal by 2pm so that your body can rest and give you relief): 1. Identify your triggers 2. Your mental state is probably about 60% of the healing process, so realise that being healed isn’t really = happiness, people have very bad digestive issues daily and they may or may not have IBS, but digestive problems is a general problem of mankind; don’t let it ruin your mental health. 3. **Start doing Low FODMAPS and if you’re not Vegan, you can do carnivore or only fish based meal as one of your meals, ideally breakfast. 4. After 6 to 8 weeks blend Okro, Cayenne pepper/Red bell Pepper, Ginger and Turmeric and take about 2 or 3 tablespoons for about 1 week. 5. Start introducing some High FODMAP foods gradually which could still be beneficial to your health like Salads, Fermented Vegetables and Apples especially. Have at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep

Dear doctor, can you tell me something about breast health? Before every period, my breast tenderness really bothers me. I am afraid of disease and want to prevent and protect it early.

one small drop (from a medicine dropper) of food grade iodine in 8oz of water worked for me. I have cystic breasts. Don't do it daily, just as needed.

What causes us to get this condition in the first place? I think I have this now, but I used to be able to eat all this stuff just fine. Fruits and vegetables are supposed to be good for us.

I believe having to do with antibiotics. If you've had to use them at all, that can wipe out all the good bacteria too. Think I might try the carnivore thing for a bit and see. But once you wipe those bacteria out, it's so hard to get them back.

IBD is a a group of autoimmune diseases, it is not caused by use of antibiotics. IBS has close ties to mental health disorders and can often be due to extreme anxiety.

@@leahlive707 Carnivore diets can bring temporary symptom relief, but it's not remotely healthy long term. The underlying dysbiosis will remain. I have tried it myself in the past. The bacteria will replenish in time. The process can be sped up somewhat by consuming probiotics and soil based organisms. You also have to be slowly increasing soluble fiber rich foods, like beans, fruits, and grains in the diet.

ESTOY MUY AGRADECIDO CON LOS TEMAS PORQUE PADESCO DE SIBO , NO TENGO VESICULA BILIAR , SOY INTOLERANTE A LACTEOS Y FRUCTUOSA Y TENGO MUCHA SENSIBILIDAD AL GLUTEN ASÍ COMO SINTOMAS DE IBS . RECIENTEMENTE TUVE QUE IR DE URGENCIA AL HOSPITAL EN MUY MAL ESTADO PORQUE REPENTINAMENTE MI CEREBRO HIZO UN CORTOCIRCUITO ( ASÍ LO SENTÍ ) CON VERTIGOS , VOMITOS Y SUDORACION FRÍA . SEGURAMENTE TENGO MALABSORCIÓN DE NUTRIENTES COMO B12 , B1 , MINERALES , Y ESTO HA AFECTADO MI SISTEMA NERVIOSO Y COMO NO HE ENCONTRADO UN MÉDICO QUE CONJUNTE O RELACIONE TODOS ESTOS SÍNTOMAS , HE ESTADO COMPRANDO SUPLEMENTOS Y VITAMINAS PORQUE DESDE ENTONCES ( HACE 2 MESES ) HAY UNA PRESIÓN EN MI CEREBRO . POR ESO GRACIAS A SUS VIDEOS HE APRENDIDO MUCHO DE ESTOS TEMAS Y PUEDO IMPLEMENTAR VARIAS DE ESTAS SOLUCIONES .
