I disagree a little bit Younes in terms of why results have gone left. Yes, there might be some instability with regards to KDH and Chukwuemeka. But the reason why we are winless in 4 games is because of our inability to kill off games (e.g vs Fulham and Palace) + silly costly errors + lack of a proper striker.

I feel like from the list of positions we need reinforcements in, the midfield we should 100% resolve and should be non-negotiable. If either Enzo or especially Caicedo gets injured we're are doomed. If we sell Chukwuemeka, Casadei and KDH, we cannot rely on injury prone Lavia to fill the gaps if someone is injured. We could recall Andrey Santos or Ugochukwu, but they don't seem as a proper solution. So we must reinforce in the midfield. Then decide, if we need another defender - recall Chalobah if possible, or potentially buyback Tomori (Milan will definitely refuse in Winter transfer window) or someone else. As for striker, the market is kinda meh and in winter transfer window is even more hard to find someone established that would fit, that's not the next propsect kid.

If Fofana is in an awful situation then I agree that chabolah is quite a natural option with no other obvious option. Personally I see Renato Vega as a good centre back with badashile sliding right centre with James and cucurella. Midfield I believe what you said you have been quite astute on these movements in previous seasons. They must sign another Enzo esque creative player to dominate midfield back to front for title and champions league. Strikers we are good maybe if the Felix u turn erupts then bring in Osimen?

As long as there were games available for other players, the situation was manageable. Now that playing opportunities are limited playing time drama is rearing its ugly face. Maresca does not trust his squad depth, and we keep using the same players. I agree that the squad as it is right now is in danger of missing Top 4, and thatwould be a catastrophe. We have drama behind the scenes, and if we do not address it the second half of the season will not be good. Do players who are starters in their current squad (Chalobah, André Santos) want to come back to become squad depth at Chelsea FC? I doubt it... Will recruitment solve this issue? Younnes, we Chelsea can sign a striker this January but they’ll probably have to pay double the fee for the player. They set themselves up for this. We hired sporting directors who have no experience with building title winning teams and a coach who’s also a novice. They all agreed to things which were not realistic at a club like Chelsea. They built a mid table team. It is very clear now that if the sporting directors don’t sign a striker and defender Chelsea will not finish in the top 4. We’re only two points away from New Castle and Man City. If they overtake us it’s over.

I personally does not have any issues maresca not having any input but if you are going to take on all that responsibility I’m sorry the SDs have to do things correctly. I’m not officially against these SDs and they will get enzo sacked. If we don’t get champions league football these SDs are to blame and not enzo maresca. He has the tools to be a good manager. If we sack enzo there is no guarantee that we get anyone close to this man tactically but I know there will be shouts for him to be sacked but we are not going for whoever you think we will be going for based on how tier list went the last time we were looking for a manager. The attention should be on the SDs and hound them out whether the players are good or not

Maresca should experiment using Palmer as False 9 just like we’ve done with Havertz and Nkuku. We can’t rely on Jackson finishing.
