It's evident that Lonesome Dave loved to perform, even in the mist of his cancer diagnosis. He sounded awesome and his talent as a guitarist/front man/singer was never more evident. RIP Dave Peverett.

Dave loved what he did and did it till the end. Foghat was awesome and Dave & Rod rocked the world in the 70's & 80's as the best live Rock show. No one put the energy into a show like Foghat did! Those days are gone. Sad!!!!

I saw them at the Longbranch in Raleigh, NC after many decades of listing to Foghat on LP, cassettes and 8 tracks. They kind of defined a lot of my growing rock years in high school, college and employment. They were amazing. Rod's slide was so aggressive and Dave was in perfect form playing that box Gibson. Little did I fully appreciate their concert experience as I always figured I would see them again. At least we have their vids. RIP.

Saw them Last Night at Hinckley MN (4/1/2017)... Charlie Does an Absolutely AWESOME job (close your eyes and you'ld swear it was Dave (only even more energy than Dave when you see him up there !)....... nobody could get better except Dave himself ! AND of Course Roger and Craig, holding it all together.... and Bryan not missing a note.... DON't MISS THEM if you wanna see the most High Octane band you could ever see !!! .... I did see Lonesome back in the day (77) and of course miss him as we all do ! Had my 8 Track cranking "Driven' Wheel" in my 68 Chevelle SS 396 4spd that I painted a PERFECT Black !
