There's a Centaur drivers plate on the Cromwell sprue , which can be used for the Charioteer .

Thanks Les. I thought there was one with a blanked off cover, but hard to check while you’re live.

Loved the video @FogofWar! Can't wait for the next video man! Glad to see you Checking out the British versus Soviet Portion of the War of Unification Starter Set, Nice to see the Sprues and can't wait to see how the Conqueror and Charioteer look when Assembled. Nice to see some Footage of the FV214 Conqueror in action, especially showing the Rotating Commander's Cupola and the Slewing mechanism. As I had mentioned before, My guess for the FV221 Caernarvon would be that the Armor Stats would be Between that of the Centurion 3 and the Conqueror while still having the Latter's Mobility. It would be Interesting to see how all of these Tanks play out in Flames of War Late War Leviathans, Especially the FV4101 Charioteer since it's Lightweight Turret only has 38 millimeters of Armor on the Front and 25 millimeter for the Sides and Rear. From what I have been able to find, the best bet would be to play the Charioteer like how you'd play the Skorpion; Get them into cover and have them Snipe away at the Higher Priority Targets that they can handle from long range and Hope the Enemy doesn't get close enough to return fire considering the Armor is very much like the American M24 Chaffee Light Tanks if I remember correctly. I have this in mind when I "Developed" my own force which I jokingly call "Scalzo Force" with A27M Cromwell Mk. IV Cruiser Tanks, A34 Comet Cruiser Tanks, FV4101 Charioteer Tanks and Specialized Variants of the Cromwell (Namely the Centaur Bulldozer and more Recently the Cromwell ARV). I can flesh it out a Bit more for the Tabletop than I can in Modded Minecraft due to Performance. The Name is a Reference to Cooper Force from the Korean War which Famously Used Cromwell Tanks against Communist North Korean Troops in the Area near Pusan. One Cromwell was Captured and used for about a Week by the North Koreans before being Recaptured by the South Korean Marines at the Incheon Landings. The "Marine Cromwell" as it became known as was Repaired with the Help of their American Counterparts and later returned to the British after another Week. Let me know what you think about this and I'll catch you in your next video man!

Great review. I wonder if you can play Clash of Steel using the "normal" WW2 tanks...
@FogofWarАй бұрын
Should be able to. The stats are the same as Flames of War, I believe. Just pointed differently.

We bought some Charioteers here in Finland after the brits got rid of them. They were... not well-loved, let's put it that way.
@FogofWarАй бұрын
I saw the Finnish ones during my research. I’m guessing you wouldn’t have really wanted to go Cold War Hot while running around in a clapped out cruiser tank with a modern gun strapped on top.
@maxxon99Ай бұрын
@@FogofWar One of the leading armor experts later said the people who bought them must have been drunk. They were never even planned to be deployed, totally useless.

surprised to see Charioteer instead of Carnarvon heavy tanks
@FogofWarАй бұрын
I’m not. Charioteer actually saw service, while Caernarvon was a stop-gap experiment. That’s not to say I might not build an FV221 at some stage…
@lesp1964Ай бұрын
@@FogofWar BF don't seem to be bothed if an AFV saw service or not , as long as they can sell a model of it .

Bit sad that the British don't have fireflies in this, though I know I am a bit of an outlier who wants to have vehicles that did hit service. Doesn't also stop me wanting IS-3s and other things like that, (Though as it stands I am still growing my US collection to more eras to make the most use of it, turns out if you buy support for your Sherman spam list then you can use that support for other things)
@FogofWarАй бұрын
By this stage, Fireflies were being replaced by later designs. They were an expedient, and an important one, but by late ‘45 and beyond there were better option. Battlefront were unlikely to put Firefly in this box set. Although some more Conquerors might have been welcome!
@spamuraigranatabru1149Ай бұрын
@@FogofWar Yeah basically immediatly as the war ended and the British had a chance to redraw its army they slapped the Shermans up for export and near instantly replaced them.
@FogofWarАй бұрын
@@spamuraigranatabru1149 They'd spent all that time designing shiny new tanks. Shiny new *British* tanks all made by men in factories wearing flat hats and hitting things with hammers! Plus, joking aside, the Shermans must have been pretty clapped out by then. They'd been used hard through France, Belgium and Germany.
@spamuraigranatabru1149Ай бұрын
@@FogofWar oh yeah, I have only a precious few fireflies for flames of war anyway (I bought the British Sherman platoon to use the 75s as some unit variety for my US M4s in normandy and italy)

I was surprised that there was only 1 conqueror too. But the rest of the box is great. Let editing Harry know he is doing a great job…and editing Joe says hi!
