One of the best wing foil channel over all! Can I ask you how much difference you could find as beginner/intermediate to upgrade to carbon mast? Insane expensive, do you think it makes sense in order to sail and have a progress fun with Axis set?
@kyriakosgiakoumaroswingandwindАй бұрын
@@marematto8231 hey! Thank you for the kind words! You dont need a carbon mast at your level (if ever to be honest). Also Axis alu 19mm masts are very nice masts so you can stick with them for as long as you like. I would suggest looking into the carbon masts when you are very high level and are pushing limits and when you use the biggest (by wing span) front wings from Axis. Even these cases are optional of course but those are the only two i would push for a carbon mast. At your current level most likely you will not feel it as a ride changing alteration so save your money and play around with the rest of your setup! The ALU masts are great

@@edmlemay hey! Thank you! i would say that in general the ART v2 is a more refined and precise foil so it would be better all around. But also due to the wingspan difference the V2 should feel much easier.

What spitfire-size do you use for jumping?

@ And is there anything to keep in mind when LANDING? Like bending the knees to absorb a little bit of the impact or landing sightly tilted towards the nose or tail? Or slightly tilted in the roll-axis to NOT introduce the complete foil back into the water at once? And what about the sige of the stab for jumping?
@kyriakosgiakoumaroswingandwind16 сағат бұрын
@@michaelkihn8311 to out it simply you just have to start and get a feel for it. Dont worry too much in the start because unless you are jumping 3m +++ from the start you dont risk much. Ideally you have as small a foil as possible. The biggest i usually recommend for jumping is 800-900m2 and under 900 wingspan as general rule but that is bot super strict As for landing there are many ways especially in the start but with a very small foil there is less fear of snapping it even if you land too flat. What you are aiming for is a landing where the foil doesnt take too much pressure. At the start a lot of people like to land with the rear wing first but i believe ultimately you should be looking at trying to land the leading edge of the foil in the water first coming downwards in order to cut through the water and then activate the foil again so you can continue on foil right after a jump. Hopefully that makes sense! Good luck

❤I really want to know the difference between art pro 1201 and art v2 999.. take off ability, speed,glide,needded wind ets.. thanks
@kyriakosgiakoumaroswingandwind3 ай бұрын
@@candych0754 hi! Its hard for me to compare because i have limited experience on the ARTpros. We dont use them at my homespot because i find that they dont react very well to choppy waters. But let me try and explain the basics. Artpros should be faster but the ART V2 gives a lot more comfort and control. Glide should be similar but the 1201 i think has more. I prefer the take off on the ART V2 because of the control but I think the 1201 can start easier due to size alone. My minimum wind I have used the 999 with a 6m is 7-8 knots and I weigh 100kg To simplify the ART pro can most likely give you more in terms of glide and speed but the ART V2 is just a much easier and user friendly foil. For winging I would go for the ART V2 for sure

Great review! What size ART V2 would you recommend for a 95kg Intermediate rider (completing about half my gybes)in 15-20kt winds for winging? Or would you recommend the Spitfire instead to master gybes?
@kyriakosgiakoumaroswingandwind4 ай бұрын
Hey! I am glad you liked it! I am sure you can use both foils and get used to them but I believe the spitfires will make gybes easier than the ART V2. Although I would generally recommend learning gybes and then progressing onto these kind of foils to really appreciate them. If you go for an ART V2, at your level provably the 999 will be best. Very manageable and easy.

Great review! Actually I am also riding spitfires 1100&960. I would love to have them faster. Right now I use 350 progressive stabi without shim. And I will receive the 2nd and 3nd biggest skinny stabi with shims. Do you have any recommandations? Furthermore I am attracted to the v2 in the middle size (same questions). Mahalo
@kyriakosgiakoumaroswingandwind4 ай бұрын
Hey! If you are looking for faster foil but dont mind the wider turns they def go to the V2 with skinny rears. I am loving waveriding with the 939 and a skinny 360 As long as I dont need or want to be too aggressive on my turns the V2s work better. I use spitfires still when I incorporate jumps and freestyle into my session or when it’s super messy conditions. Also for the rear wings i use the progressive with my spitfires but have changed to skinny a few times and it does speed up the foil, so that would work for you as well. With the ART V2 I use only skinny rears because i find they work much nicer for me
