JD, this truly is the future. Imagine all the people trying to paddle up their downwind boards. With some practice it should be very doable with the Pocket Kite. I'm 76 and I could picture doing this and using a foil drive assist as well. If the FDA+ broke or died you should be able to get in with the kite. The idea of being able to get up on foil with the kite and stow it in a fanny pack is terrific. I know it's a prototype but who is making the Pocket Kite? BTW i've loved your videos for a long time. Need to try the pocket wing. Wondering if a drag chute used for running resistance training would work. Also, JD have you posted about your camera/selfie stick setup. I think I saw you have been using a go2 and not go3. Wondering what your actual camera stick setup is and how reliable have the Insta360 Gos been. Best foiling video....keep them coming!

I use a 1m hollow carbon pole with the Go3 attached with a 3d printed TPU mount, total weight is 300g. I used the Go2 for the first 2 years of my channel and these past 3 month I've been using the Go3. Reliability has been good overall, my biggest problem has been loosing them 😢 What sets this camera apart is the ability to re-frame the footage before exporting the clips in in either 16x9 or 9x16. Camera does horizon leveling automatically and I adjust the position of the horizon with lots of re-framing (very time consuming). Thanks for watching 🤙🏼

800cm2 High Aspect and some are starting to go smaller like 580HA. Sam with his pocketwing for example rides the GoFoil RS850. The MA range from Armstrong seams popular as well, ah so many options 🤙🏼

SupaDry used to kite foil before he switched to wing foiling and he would be sitting on his tiny 24" board all day long. At some point he was trying to mount a seat onto his board 😜 but it didn't work to well if I recall it right. Maui is a small island, we're all affected by the most devastating disaster in our recent history and we all have to live with it every single day since the fires took our beloved town of Lahaina away from us. I'm just assuming this but you most likely have no idea how the fires affected me and my family personally. Should i apologize for having lost a business in the fire or maybe be ashamed for it ? Or maybe I should be ashamed for having opened our home to 10-15 people who lost everything. Just know this, our island is devastated and it will take many years to rebuild Lahaina. Now if the entire island waits for that to happen we won't have any island left, tourism is a major part of our economy. Aloha and Mahalo for listening 🙏🏼🤙🏼
