About 36 years ago this movie had a profound and emotional impact on me when it was played at my school. A black boy came to my school, Westminster Christian School in Elgin, IL, and became my best friend. His name was Brandon Johnson, now Cook County Commissioner in Chicago, IL. I have looked for this movie from time to time on the Internet, and just found it "by accident" after watching a documentary on Harriet Tubman. Thank you SO MUCH, reelblack, for making this available.

Correction: I love these movie about your "ISRAELITE ANCESTORS" during there time of enslavement too! It shows how much they've endured. Making us their Descendants grateful for what they over came and what we must keep come during our time of captivity in todays system of So-called White Supremacy. Note: Our Ancestors were prisoners of war whom were forced into slavery. Slaves were not their original identity.

I teach second grade in Miami, FL. in the middle of the biggest Hispanic population of Cubans and Mexicans. Today one of my students said her mom and dad hates me...because they saw me...they hate me because I am dark complexion with an afro... she said her mom said my hair is ugly. I told her God made us all in beautiful colors. I told her that her mommy is pretty with her Carmel skin, and I am pretty with my chocolate skin. The child was so worried, she said, "but why did they say bad things about you?" I finally said, "we will pray for your mommy and daddy."

Great upload! I really miss those days of the school films. Our people are blessed and don't even know we're the children of God. Our ancestor suffered horribly in bondage, but it was their strength to survive that's why we're still alive, today. We are the living legacy of our beloved enslaved foremothers and forefathers. Bless the day when our God sets his hand against our enemies and frees us completely of our oppressors, in the land of our captivity. We will be healed and restored as a people which are called by His name.

Reelblack, I am a life-long lover of reading and research. Movies that you bring to and for US pleases me immensely. Matter of fact, for students that sometimes get "bored" with reading, viewing movies like this should be included in daily curriculums, not a movie every now and then, because of the many truths that these movies hold. If I had been involved in the decision-making from the on-set, your channel WOULD be the "BET" that we should have had in the beginning.

Creamcorn surprize - You are right...LoL! I noticed that as well. It through me off a bit, but I forgot about it after while. Funny to know someone else was hearing the exact same thing. However, I still enjoyed the movie a lot.

@Robinson Pittman My point was the child had NYC accent and the rest of the cast did not, just common sense. By the way, I know history.

I Thank The True And Living God For All Of The Wonderful Caucasian People's In Those Days For Helping Many Many People's Of Color Escape From Slavery. Many Many Of The Caucasian Men And Women Put There Life's On The Line Because In There Heart Of Hearts They Knew It Was Very Very Wrong, Humane And Ungodly. The True And Living God Never Created Humanity To Enslave Anyone Or To Be Enslaved To Anyone. The True And Living God Of Heaven And Earth Never Create Humanity To Ever Put Anyone In Bondage Or To Be In Bondage To Anyone. Slavery Came From Satan The Devil 😈 And He Put The Evil Ideas In The Minds And Hearts Of People's That Was Evil Themselves. Every Man, Woman, Boy And Girl Of All Races And Nationalities Are To Never Enslave Anyone. We Are Never To Put Anyone In Bondage. Paul One Of The Apostles Of Jesus The Christ Said In The Holy Scriptures Owe No One But To Love Each Other. Romans 13:8-10 (AMP) It's Not Hard Too Love Anyone If You Have The Love Of The True And Living God Living In You. He Will Help You To Love If You Want Him To. The Lord God Never Ask Us To Love The Evil In Them And The Evil Things They Do Just Love Them Because The True And Living God Is Love. Every Thing About Life Is About Choices And What Ever Choices We Make In Life Determines How Far We Go In Life. We All Need To Learn What We Saw And Heard About The Past So That The Past Want Be Repeated Ever Again. Those That Done The Evil In Those Days And Did Not Change And Never Repented Of There Sins To The True And Living God When They Pass From This Earth They Went Straight To Eternal Hell 🔥 The Lake Of Fire 🔥 That Burns With Fire And Brimstone's They Burning Forever And Forever. And Those That Did Change And Repented To The True And Living God Before They Left This Earth When They Passed They Went Straight To Eternity With The True And Living God And They Are Living Eternally With In Heaven ☁️ Forever And Forever. This Is For Everybody Today That Are Living Repent Of Your Sins And Invite The True And Living God Into Your Heart 💓 He Will Forgive You Of All Of Your Sins And He Will Give You Eternal Life Right Now And When He Calls You From This Earth You Will Live With Him Eternally Forever And Forever. And Those Of You Today That Will Not Or Never Will Repent Of Your Sins To The True And Living God When It's Your Time To Be Called From This Earth You Will Spend Eternity In The Lake Of Fire 🔥 That Burns With Fire And Brimstone's Forever And Forever. Gregory, YAHUAH's (GOD) first commandment is thou shalt have no other god's before me. Our ancestors worshipped the god's of the other nations. And did all kinds of evil in GOD's sight. So he allowed our people to be enslaved. Please get acquainted with Deuteronomy chapter 28. When you get a chance read the whole chapter. Verses 1-14 tells about the blessings and 15-68 tells about the curses that would happen because his people did not obey him. Don't take my word for it. Do your research.
