May Allah reward you الفردوس. I have been suffering from Waswaas (Whispers of the devil) and it really made me stress every single letter in Surat Al Fatiha in prayer which made it hard to pray and it took me more than ususal to pray. As an Arabic speaker, all of a sudden, I couldn't pronounce ض anymore cause of too much stressing the letter, but Mashallah, step 3, was a lot helpful. Now, I can pronounce الضالين easily with no problem. Jazakum allahu khair.❤❤❤❤

Jazak Allah for this lesson. I have a question, does ض's makhraj involve touching the edges of tongue to the lower molars or upper molars? From your previous lesson, I thought that the tongue's edges have to touch lower molars. But from that 2 hands analogy in this video, it seems that the edges have to touch and move through the upper molars? Is this right?

Respectfully, this modern pronunciation (also known as the Egyptian ض) is something that does not exist in the literature of classical tajweed scholars, including Ibn al Jazari and Makki ibn Abi Talib. Rather, what we find in the books is that ض has consistently been defined as being very close to the pronunciation of ظ. The modern ض 's pronunciation, in comparison, is close to the letter ﺩ. There are many treatises written on this subject that go into detail about the true pronunciation of ض, with one of the main issues being that ض is described as a letter of rakhawa (in addition to it described as resembling ظ and not ﺩ). The problem with the modern, Egyptian ض is that you cannot actually create rakhawa. The sound that comes out when you try to is actually being produced from the nostrils. Close your nose and then try to produce rakahwa - you will not be able to. In the recent age some of the great ulema used the classical pronunciation of ض instead of the modern, Egyptian pronunciation, among them being Sheikh Al Albani (RA). I have heard that Ibn Baz (RA) was also inclined towards this view. There are numerous other scholars. I wish, even if you think the modern pronunciation is the correct one, that you would at least acknowledge the fact that there is a valid difference of opinion among scholars over the pronunciation of ض, even though today the majority do seem to be inclined towards the modern pronunciation. If you are not aware of the other opinion that I have mentioned and its proofs, there are several resources you can look up. There is a useful talk on this subject that you can find on KZbin which is based on such resources and books, called 'The Issue of the Pronunciation of ض - The Rakhāwa Problem' by Tulaib Zafir.

This is the Quranic pronunciation, found in Sibwayh and Al Jazari and has been preserved. Modern dialects do pronounce it like a heavy mouth Daal, but that is modern, not classical. Also, you do require to release some air at the sides of your tongue if I am not mistaken

@NK-vd8xi4 ай бұрын
@@Avistyl the original comment here is completely correct. The pronunciation of daad advocated by this channel isn't Qur'anic, it's the new "Egyptian daad" made popular by Egyptian Qaris in the last century through audio cassettes. The owner of this channel is so arrogant in his ignorance that he thinks his pronunciation is Qur'anic and is doing the mental gymnastics in order to justify it. The Lebanese guy he's critiquing actually has a better understanding of the classical sound than he does. The Egyptian daad was initially considered incorrect by many scholars. Scholars used to say the only alternative of ض an imam could employ without invalidating his congregations prayer was the one that sounded like ظ because they were so alike. The pronunciation advocated for by this channel would be considered one that invalidates the prayer of the congregation. That's not to say that this fatwa still holds, just that the arrogance in which he asserts this position of superiority is completely unfounded.

God is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs for those who brought us to this situation. By Allah Almighty, I did not write this appeal out of distress and distress. Poverty, O world, they have felt it So, I hope for you. By Allah Almighty, Lord of the Great Throne, he ate what I had in the house. By Allah, my brothers, he is my brothers by sitting in the house. Who has no food? By God, we are in a very difficult situation. I am a Yemeni girl displaced from the war. My family and I live in a rented house in Al-Shahrab 20,000 Yemenis among us, and now we owe 60,000 for 3 months. The owner of the house is one of the people who does not have mercy, by God, my brother. He comes every day, insulting us, talking about us, and moving from the house to the street because we were unable to pay him the rent. The neighbors saw us crying and came back.They came back to talk to the neighbors and we were given the weekend. So we made him swear by God. He will take us out into the street. Have mercy on him and us. Our country is due to this war and we do not find food for our day, and my brothers and I live in a difficult life. Our father died, may God have mercy on him, and we have no one in this world who was with us in these harsh circumstances. My younger brothers went out into the street and saw...The neighbors eat and stand at heir door in order to give them bread even if they break it. By God, to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth, they closed the door and expelled them and came back crying. They are dying of hunger. No one has mercy on them and a holiday is returned. I have made a living, and now if one of us helps us with a kilo of flour, I swear to God, I am dying of hunger. My brother, I am an alien to God. there is not such letter in the Quran . if you inventing new letters and change ص in some places to your new letter ض, then am asking - is there surah ص in your version or surah ض and why? if you have authority to improve Text for the sake of tajweed, then how do you know if surah طح not should been pronounced as ظخ ? or why not ظخء , if we are free to invent ء and put it anywhere since we classify it as "not-letter"? same with all these mutations: ع -> غ ح -> خ ص -> ض ت -> ث د -> ذ ط -> ظ and ء , which emerges out of thin air. === although companions and tabiins never knew such letters, and all big imams of all mazhabs could write their big books in Arabic before their invention, but if one can't live without them I recommend them to use such symbols in their personal messages or SMS if they want, and never write or put these symbols in context Quran
@Avistyl4 ай бұрын
I am not sure what you are on about but I think you are saying something about the dots and diacritics of the Quran. The dots were added in the written Quran to differentiate between letters like the ones you are posing there. In the 7th century of Arabia, Arabs could read Arabic without any dots, due to context. However, with more non-Arab reverts coming to Islam these were added to the text to help them read Arabic. The words and sounds are still the same. The pronunciation is still the same. This was added at the time of the Sahaba such as Uthman RA a who memorised the Quran. Diacritics have a similar story, it’s just that they indicate the vowels of the letters, as well as Tanween and various other things, now not used other than for the Quran.
