When we first brought Lynnet to the show, she was broken, lost and could hardly understand why the man she loved most would completely reject her simply because she was not a boy.
And then when he died, she had to bury him in the most decent manner she knew.
Today, on this episode we follow up with her to find out what happened to her and why forgiveness is not a choice but a priority in order to move on

Coming from a polygamous family my mother being the first wife and me being the first daughter I've gone through alot of pain, I had planned to kill my father and go to jail for the sake of the peace of my mum and siblings but until when I listen to ur story I was able to forgive this man and I'm totally healed, thanks Achieng' as I do call for sharing ur story, maybe if I didn't hear ur story at the right time I would be behind bars by now. Follow up is good. She's better now than she was previously, i noticed, she didn't cry, great improvement! ... She's beautiful, her encouragement is so mature, infact her suffering built her! Surely, everything happens for a reason. Though painful, she, wouldn't have known this if her Dad didn't abandon her. God wanted her to entirely depend on Him. Remember, the abandonment by her Dad, shaped her & God put Guardian Angels on her path to achieve her goals. That fulfilment came when the Bible tells us that even your Father, Mother, can abandon you, but God will appoint people who are not related to you, especially for her, not your tribe to hold your hand.. That's our God, is Merciful. Elevation requires isolation 🙏

I didn’t always value my older sister because she policed us when my mom was working. However, she did a great job. I was the younger girl out of 3 and the middle child of 5. I was a different from her and my sister. They were more reserved. I danced to my own music. She’d make me come in and read books instead of hanging out with friends, skateboarding or playing football with my brothers. In high school if a boy came around, she’d run them away. Nonetheless, I finished college (actually completed a master’s degree). She helped me with financial literacy as a young adult. My husband and I bought our first home in our 20s. I remember my 2 kids getting chicken pox one behind the other and I had exhausted my time off from work with my son who had them first. My older sister took off work and used her accrued time to take care of my daughter who had chicken pox right after my son recovered. She is truly a positive example of a first born -DAUGHTER.😊

I’m glad I watch this show, because being a firstborn weeee 😢😢😢, in my next life I’d not like/choose to be a firstborn. So far Blocking everyone in my family has helped me…a day at time. Dear Lynn please bring more of these kind of talks, they are therapeutic to most of us. Be blessed!

Speak it,we’ll said you hit the jack pot .I wish we can all normalize that we need help and seek for help.We are getting high numbers of suicide cases because we are keeping a lot to ourselves.Thank you Lynnet for that inspiration.
