I feel bad for the first person. Right off the bat, she felt as though she should have been more careful with what she was wearing. Please, don't ever feel that way. You should be able to wear whatever you want without fearing of being harassed or worse. It is NOT your fault.
@alimafion

Omg I was thinking the exact same thing! She should not feel she has to blame her outfit on his creepy lecherous behaviour.

I feel horrible too bc I have been there and thought that same thing. I am so lucky it didn’t turn out bad, but I felt like I always needed to question what I would wear in the summer especially in really really hot weather. Think Florida in August aka an outdoor Sauna. It’s brutally hot and humid there. But also the desert is hot af too and I started wearing super little dresses (tastefully short) lots of crop tops, and short short shorts. If I wear a skirt or dress I try to wear some type of NIKE bike shorts (with the wicking - from cheerleading) and now idgaf it’s too hot to Care. When I’m in Jersey I can’t carry much at all, maybe mace, bear spray (legitimately way better than mace), I also have a stun gun (legal in Jersey). In Florida I can carry my 9mm or .22 as long as it’s concealed, I have my CONCEALED/carry which *most* women do. I hope I don’t EVER HAVE to use EITHER ONE- HOWEVER if someone tries to rape, or kill me or another woman I have a right to fire a warning shot and hopefully they make the right decision from there. The biggest anxiety I have tho is carrying with a bullet in the chamber, and no safety on. If you think about it, most womens firearm safety classes will tell you; the last thing you have time to do in a horrible situation is cock your hammer back or in my case w the Glock 9 is get a bullet in the chamber fast enough. It’s not something I would EVER want to deal with in NJ. But if I have to bite rapist then so be it. I will go for their eyes and same if I saw someone else being attacked….. Ps. I was never against guns, but I was always super scared of them although I’ve been around them around my entire life. I finally realized the way our country is going down hill (imo) especially with WOMENS rights and race riots, school and movie shootings etc. (without getting into politics) we should be able to legally and sound fully be able to protect ourselves and others.

I feel the opposite, personally. Don't get me wrong, I don't believe that creeps are not responsible for their actions, and I have been harassed myself and dressing modestly is a big part of my faith. Men and women alike are absolutely 100% responsible for what they do and say. However, I do think that as women what we wear influences alot. Dressing in revealing clothing is kind of like walking around with a giant neon green target on your back. You're naturally bringing more attention to yourself by revealing some private areas of your body. Isn't that why girls dress like that anyways? For the attention it brings? I don't think we should be surprised when we go fishing to catch a fish or two. Just my thoughts, not judgment. I won't tell anyone how to dress, but I do believe that, in this fallen sinful world we are all apart of and contribute to, our actions and choices are powerful. I know most people might get pretty worked up about my comment, but I hope it'll make someone think.
@alimafion
@alimafion 2 жыл бұрын
@@beccacoleman498 but Becca, men can walk around topless and they don’t receive the same treatment women do. In what way is it fair that men (not all men!!) think they can just follow women about and have their way with them because of what they wear? Example, I ride horses and if I’m getting public transport home I’m wearing clothes and boots specifically designed for horse riding and this has led to unwanted attention from men none of which I have provoked, I wasn’t wearing the clothing so that a man would come along and feel up my leg or feel like he can follow me, push me down a back alley and have his way with me, I wear it because it’s the clothing designed for my sport. The problem stems from porn, it always comes back to porn and how actors treat women in porn and how the actresses allow themselves to be treated - because they are being paid and not because they enjoy it. This then gives certain men the impression that it’s ok to treat any women the same way and pick a women up and force themselves on her because they think she looks nice in the clothes she’s wearing. As women we can’t walk alone at night because there is a risk we might never come home or something life changing (in a bad way) will happen, the same risk applies to men but it’s higher for women, just listen to half these stories, they’re creepy encounters women have written about involving creepy men (not all men!!) . It’s sad that women can’t wear a cute outfit that they like because some pervert will assume that she’s wearing it for his benefit and somehow he automatically believes that she then somehow belongs to him for him to treat her however he wants. People aren’t property and we aren’t here to be “called dibs on”.
@paintedp1nk

@@beccacoleman498 we’re all entitled to our own opinion. I hope you do not have children. However you sound Mormon so you may have a lot and that is fine. It’s a lifestyle. End of discussion men do not touch women, NOONE touches anyone no matter what they are wearing. I had more issues when i used to dresss “modestly” and I refuse to be uncomfortable. In South Florida even the big girls wear thong bikinis and I promise you, if ANYONE TOUCHES a woman with protection, they are liable to get their heads shot off. BEWARE. So stay in your hole, bc your comment is that of a Pilgrim and I refuse to even read it. Thanks for being a troll tho.

As I play a videogame that's a bit rote at this point (trying to keep up with daily stuff . . .) I listen to a lot of the "true scary story" type videos, so today's been my "Let's Read" day, and I've noticed a LOT of people dismiss when people are scared, or even hurt - managers, parents, boyfriends, friends, landladies. MOST are men, I think because they may not be wired to be alert / afraid of things that a lot of women HAVE to be, in order to survive. (Intuition is just your brain telling you to beware of something around you). When I used to take the bus to work while living with my parents, for example, my dad didn't understand why my mom felt like she had to go pick me up at the bus stop when it started to get dark earlier, since we were within walking distance from the bus stop. He just does NOT understand not only the fears but the actual DANGERS that exist. Also, I hope the person in the second story moved to a better area (if it's affordable to do so) and maybe got less careless roommates. I mean, it sounds like she already submitted ONE scary story but to have 3 more in that area . . . that would make me think that moving might be a good idea.

So sad the shooting at sonic, nobody has the right to take someone's life, unless defending themselves. As for the girl worrying about what she was wearing, u should be able to wear what u like. These creeps should know they cannot behave the way they do. People who creep on others, are disgusting. U should wear what u like, they should know how to behave like a decent human being.xx

I remember this man from about 450k subs. This man has really changed things for the better, every extra minute is another minute of chilling and listening.

take a pic or video of whom ever is making you feel so unsure uncomfortable,fearful and send it to a friend or family member just in case something does happen at less someone can track down who that person or person’s were. This kind of stuff needs to be taught at home and schools because people are just crazy anymore

Who in the world is narrating the last story?!?? Definitely NOT Let's Read. He is talking wayyyy to slow and seems like he is trying wayyyy to hard to sound scary. He has a great voice for narrating scary stories but talk normally plz!
