Bone protective figurines are used in many religions. The figure of a human usually indicates protection rather than harm. That means there was someone who cared enough to leave them to protect your family from whatever they considered to be the real danger. To me the unknown danger of what some kind stranger was trying to protect you from, is much more terrifying. What is out there that is so frightening you need magical protection from it?

Yeah honestly I dont know if I'd be that scared of the bone carvings. It's a legitimate profession and authentic bone carvings cost a lot of money. I probably wouldve thought it was neat and taken it home. Giving it to them at night was a bit odd but maybe the stranger spent the day carving it for them and maybe they were busy in the morning so they just left it for them once they were finished carving.

The actions of the father, after being shot and damn near barbecued, are quite heroic but the show of compassion from the daughter after being subjected to some of the worst and most evil acts any one human can perform is what I find to be most impressive. Wow Joel, you picked some truly horrifying stories to narrate this go around! Once I heard the first story I thought there’s NO WAY any other story could beat it, then you kept on going, telling us more and more horrific TRUE stories! The very last story, where the two criminals broke into the holiday cabin in Utah around Christmas, I saw that story "recreated" on one of the True Crime channels when I was in high school! There truly are MANY, MANY genuine psychopaths out there and I think that fact is 100X more scary than worrying about monsters or ghosts coming for you! Keep up all the incredible work you do for us Joel, we all really love and appreciate you more than you could ever imagine!😎 Love from Texas ♥️🤠🌴

hmmm... this sounds like a really generic stories that a computer wrote. one of those AI/GPT written summarys of a story instead of the actual story. if I'm wrong..ok, but it could also just be the way the voice is reading. it sounds mechanical, completely bland, dry, monotone, and boring, like there's no soul behind it i did like the last story as an idea. it could be a real artistic masterpiece, a genuine story that has real potential.

The thing about rabies is that you could be but by something carrying the virus and not have any issues then years later it could activate out of nowhere and there's no cure once that happens it's a horrible way to die I would suggest getting the rabies shot so you don't take that chance I didn't know that when I was a kid so at any point I could go insane.... And I'd never know what was happening to me that would be horrible

My mom had a compound fracture with it puncturing the skin also. Only hers was considered a “farm injury” bc one neighbor had goats, another had horses, and we even previously had cows. All that meant risk of infection was very high, meaning nearly if not all of her skin was scrubbed away from the wound site. She endured just one not so helpful skin graph so 17 yrs later (her injury aligned with my wedding) she has such a wicked scar it's nearly a child's hand sized crater.

Nearly lost it, too (due to nurses setting the dislocated joint incorrectly, which caused a buildup of pressure that would have rushed my muscles, bones, veins, and the things needed to keep a working arm), and to this day I still don't have my full range of motion. I do have a pretty sick scar, though

@@KristenDETW I was a lot younger when I saw it so I always thought it was a shitty horror movie since it was hardly as comical as scary movie

Windows need curtains or shades, this is just another reason why! That thing wouldn’t be nearly as vicious if he couldn’t see in .

I can sadly relate to #1. Getting hooked on pain meds after a horrendous injury. I also gained weight and became a shell of my former self. It was also the lowest point in my life . I came very close to taking the self check out lane. Best wishes to those struggling with addiction and their families.

The Tida mother was the real hero. It was her prayers that were heard by God and saved the rest of her family. Her life meant nothing to her personally, when compared to her family. A mothers prayers were why this story had the ending it did.
